CNN - Afghanistan Crossroads - US Officials: Multiple insurgencies overwhelming Pakistan

According to the article Pakistan is "nation under siege." When was that not the case. Since it's inception as a Muslim country Pakistan has been under siege from one outside actor or another. India, Afghanistan, Iran, US, Russia etc. etc.

In 1971 half of the country was lost.

Fast forward to present day quagmire. The nuclear weapons are at the top of the open issues. Word on the street is that it's in the interest of US to somehow control the cache of nuclear tipped missiles and neutralize them. The hawks at the Pentagon are having sleepless nights and they have not spared a moment to see that this Muslim country's defenses are weakened for good. The resistance within Pakistan continues, for now under the banner of national pride. National pride? Its matter of national survival. But, in the process lives are being lost and greater enemies are being created that will perpetuate the cycle of violence for years to come.

In Afghanistan, after the election of Mr. Obama, US could have taken the high road to reconciliation while many factors play themselves out in the background. On the contrary, and against his better judgement while breaking his campaign promises, the Obama government decided to escalate and up the ante. He inherited the current crop of generals and they decided, at the military's recommendations, to continue the status quo: take no prisoners; make not peace with anybody; eliminate rather than integrate. In the process what is happening is that the insurgency is being pushed out of Afghanistan into Pakistan. Problem solved? Yes, of the nuclear arms since that will allow US to "create" the atmosphere to pressure Pakistan to give up its nukes. Pakistan without nukes is a sitting duck for any taker.

Internal problems and strife abound in Pakistan. Anything and everything goes to the highest bidder.

What Pakistan needs is open access to the most sophisticated arms and first rate training. The current crop of US operatives in Pakistan with their covert support for the Pakistani army, under the watchful eyes of Indian interests, is never going to do the job. The people of Pakistan, just like many times in the past, have bought the idea of Pakistan being an ally of US and want some action from US instead of empty promises.

The second rate under secretaries of defense and that of the state department, the trainees, should be replaced with somebody who has some clout to push the process through congress for substantial and real aid at the right place. They need to select people from outside, Pakistanis who have lived in US, Europe, Asia, or the Gulf countries to spearhead the distribution of the money allocated for aid to Pakistan. To head the progress and see through the completion of projects. Anybody from the inside is too corrupt to make a difference.

There is some hope for Pakistan and by proxy for Afghanistan but time is running out fast. As the article points out, the insurgency that was quelled is raising its ugly head back up and this time it will be twice as difficult to control it.

Obama Legacy

Now that the debate on health care is over and it has become the law its time to move on to other more pressing issues in the world politics. For an American president its never too early to talk about legacy. Anybody can build a library and a highway can be named after them, real work for legacy takes courage, vision, and determination. Obama has shown to have those qualities.

The odds against President Obama are still stacked mile high in the form of Cheney, Bush, AIPAC, Foxxx News and that ugly little GOP poodle that won't stop barking, Sarah Palin. Yet despite the odds, President Obama has done wonderfully. His stature as a leader around the world is recognized and improving. Just the other day Russian President showered him with unprecedented praise coming from a Russian leader for any sitting American president. He is well liked almost all around the world except in certain circles where he can not win no matter what he does short of bombing the entire world for the benefit of one group. As such he will have much easier time now with the next agenda item on the world stage, whatever that happens to be. In the process the stature of America the world over has improved. It's time for Obama to look forward and do great things, not only for America but for the whole world. Here is a list of top five agenda setting items:

1. End the war on terror - officially or otherwise
War on terror is the legacy of Bush and what a legacy that is. The legacy of hate and crimes against humanity. End the war on terror but that does not mean we can not promote democracy and freedom for the oppressed people around the world. There is no shortage of oppressed people around the world but the iron fist has never helped sustain a real democracy, and the alternative can only be pushed when there is enough of a peace and harmony to realize the dividends of democracy and freedom. That also does not mean we have to compromise on our security. What we need is to reign in the rogue elements within the government and stop the False Red Flag Attacks on America, which many think is an inside job.

2. Have direct talks with Iran - no preconditions
Under tremendous pressure from the wrong side of the isle, Iran was never offered a place at the negotiating table. The threats, from the remnants of the old regime still marauding as if Bush never left the office, never ceased. There was no offer made. The preconditions were all in place. The grievances of either side were never addressed. The outcome of the diplomacy with the second and third level diplomats (no influence and no authority to offer anything substantial) were a sham for the news media hounds to report the failure. Negotiations were means to an end. That end was to have the negotiations fail for the world to see that Iranians are not cooperating.

Its time for real negotiations with Iran. These talks have to be at the highest level, started and run by somebody that matters and by somebody who does not have minimal allegiance to special interest groups. No operative of AIPAC from the state department will do; that essentially takes the whole state department out of the running so it has to be an outsider to start and lead the negotiations with Iran.

Why negotiate? Although the threat to the world from Iran is overblown by leaps and bounds and only Foxxx News sees the trigger finger set to go off (which means anybody with iota of intelligence can relax, really), the ideological threat does exist and its substantial. A negotiated end to Iranian uranium enrichment crises can lead to other issues being settled without having to allocate resources and manpower.

3. Completely muzzle the old regime - including Liz Cheney
Stonewall Foxxx News and Associated Press. These two outfits have done more damage to American peoples' psyche then any other two outfits combined. The impact is tremendous but the truth finally comes out. They are strictly the mouthpieces for the far far right fringe elements and that include pretty much the entire GOP leadership of today. Far and wide there are no moderates in GOP anymore, none that get any press time. Its as if they have all converted to Islam or something - they never have a chance with the press.

More importantly, Liz Cheney, Daddy Cheney and the entire hate mongering right wing machine has to be shut down. Shut it down for the sake of American people. Enough with the hatred, enough with the wars, enough with the killing. People want peace and harmony. People want to live without hatred. People are tired of hatred. People want a new day and a new beginning.

4. Muzzle the Israeli war machine and stop aid to Israel until they come to negotiating table - with no preconditions.
The whole world knows we are supporting Apartheid regime but most can not say anything for fear of reprisals, or don't get their voices heard. Any descent is met with maximum penalty. The rule of law, the right and wrong, the human rights, everything goes out the window when taking sides with Iz-ra-eel.

5. Declare and recognize independent Palestinian state - without further delay
Single most important thing that President Obama can do for the world peace. A fully recognized independent Palestinian state would bring in the most vehement supporters of J1h@d and all the other undesirable things on the world stage. Its the single most important thing any president can do to create a lasting legacy, one that will be remembered forever in the history of the world. It will be that one milestone event that all other events will be judged against. Iraq war will be a distant memory, Afghanistan war will cease to exist. The time for a unilateral recognition of independent State of Palestine has come. Mr. President, act on this opportunity, act on it now, consequences be damned. There will be no consequences.

This is the legacy setting agenda that will make Mr. Obama one of the most popular American President in the history of the world.

Democracy by any Other Name

Many Americans are totally confounded how Iz-ra-eel is supported as a champion for democracy. There is nothing democratic about it.

In a democracy we do not have one road for Iz-ra-eelis and one road for Palestinians. That is not democracy that is apartheid.

In a democracy we have freedom of religion. We don't say you have to be at least 50 years of age before you can enter a certain place of worship. We don't call that democracy we call it religious persecution.

In a democracy we do not kick people from their homes and then tell them they can never return. In the 1948 military operation thousands of civilians from present day Iz-ra-eel, afraid for their lives, fled to present day West Bank, never to be allowed to return to the homes where their families had lived peacefully for hundreds of years. We don’t call that democracy that is called ethnic cleansing.

In a democracy we don't erect checkpoints where Iz-ra-eelis are not stopped and Palestinians have to stop and get frisked. Thousands of Palestinians have to stop at 30 or 40 checkpoints on their way to work and again on their way home. The gates of many of the checkpoints are closed at night. Mothers have given birth and some have bled to death from complications of giving birth while their husbands begged to be let through so they can make it to the hospital. Basically your neighborhoods gate is closed at night and it is not opened even for medical emergencies. We don't call that democracy that is apartheid, that is inhumane.

In a democracy we don't bulldoze the home of parents of a criminal. We punish the person who has committed the crime. We do not make homeless the innocent occupants of a home where one individual may have committed a crime. That is not democracy it is an atrocity and mockery of justice.

In a democracy we respect peoples' right to free speech. We do not run them over with a bulldozer. Rachel Corries’ crime was that she spoke out against Iz-ra-eel’s policy. This young lady from the state of Washington was run over by a Israeli bulldozer while she was protesting the bulldozing of a Palestinian’s home. No one has been held accountable for her murder. That is not democracy, it is barbaric.

In a democracy we have a free press. There are no curbs on the movements of the journalists and they can and should ask probing questions. Iz-ra-eel prevents any journalists to enter Gaza, the Arabs in Iz-ra-eel, just like the Muslims in America are not at all represented in the mainstream media. That is not democracy, that is discrimination, plain and simple.

Resign or Forced Out?

Pope Benedict is under fire for hiding the truth, covering up for the clergy that have done extremely egregious things that come under serious crimes in any jurisdiction. The calls for his resignation have started to surface.

The pope will be gone before the end of this year is out. Just a prediction!
Pope should go ahead and resign the papacy and retire. He will have plenty of time to ask for forgiveness but more importantly, the church will suffer less of acrimony at the hands of its enemies, and there are plenty of them out there, starting with the media. Given the opportunity they can cause lot more damage on top of the damage already caused by the media.

It will be good for the practicing Catholics and many others that may have left the church after these revelations. It will help people reconcile with the church. It will quite the detractors. Pope Urban should have been hanged for his crimes against humanity for instigating the crusades. In many ways this is worse.

Will the Pope Benedict still be around as head of the Catholic church at the end of this year?

I am going to spend all my Bar-Mitzvah money on........

When the fiasco first appeared on the news scene it looked benign and typical Hollywood "he said, she said" tabloid fodder. It went back back and forth several times but Jon and Kate Gosselin of Jon and Kate plus eight fame stayed in the news for weeks on with no end. Eventually it was easy to figure out why. As soon as the news came out of Jon meeting with his Rabbi, it all fell in place. Jon is, after all Jewish and it only makes sense for him to be in the news.

Creating a buzz is an old marketing tool that has been used for years. Some companies have taken it to the limit and they are really good at creating buzz. Although the buzz about Jon and Kate existed long before the messy breakup, the technique is used all around. Way back when, starting with Bob Dylan, and later Carly Simon, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Bruce Springsteen, and of late, Starbucks, Facebook, Sarah Silverman, and the latest "sensations" the Jonas Brothers. Many other faces that are household names hold the same distinction. Having affiliation with certain religious group pays off big. Just ask Laura Shlessinger, the uber obnoxious radio, and later TV psychologist that spewed venom at her listeners majority of the time. Free and gratuitous press creating a buzz, fame, popularity and money streams.
Bob Dylan's original work sucked. It may have had some folksy appeal but musically speaking it was less than mediocre. Fame and notoriety followed never the less. Creating a buzz such as for Starbucks where so much of it is free helps in the long run but all of that is reserved for select few.

In the entertainment industry the kids in the movies only talk about getting their bar-mitzvah money back. They talk about spending it, saving it, or whatever else you can do with the money. It is always Bar-mitzvah money.

So what does it matter. It creates the role models for others to follow. Have you ever seen a role model for Christian kid, perhaps? Of course the only role models for the Muslim kids are growing up as suicide bomber or some such thing. Remember Babel with Brad Pitt.
Unfortunately this happens at the exclusion of all others. Roles are created. Remember Adam Sandler? It started with "stupid" roles and he has matured into something some people can actually tolerate now. So who is taking his place now that he has moved on from the "stupid" roles to more tolerable roles except for Zohan? Somebody else has to fill up that space, right? Jon Heder of course will be the next Adam Sandler.

It is a matter of giving people the opportunity. Only the select few get the opportunity. Is it always matter of being at the right place at the right time? Not really. Does it take hard work? Of course it does but given the opportunity, many WILL do the hard work required to be the next star. Is the exclusivity by design? It sure looks that way based on the extensive review of what goes in the news, how it's portrayed, and what stays out. It also depends on.... you guess it, the buzz and the after buzz which is all reserved for people that belong to the same certain religion.

British Soldiers Using Models of Mosques as Target Practice

This is how the hatred starts. The blame is always one sided.

After Ahmad Rushdie wrote the book Satanic Verses the entire Muslim world was in uproar. Probably rightfully so. Under the guise of freedom of speech Rushdie was lauded in the press, and protected from meeting a well deserved early demise. Mush later the British government bestowed Knighthood on Rushdie making him Sir Ahmad Rushdie.

Today the news comes out that British Military is using cutout models of Mosques for target practice. The green domes, single of double, are the distinctive features of models being used. This is only the tip of the iceberg.

While selling these wars at home as efforts to spread democracy around the world, admissions such as "We hunt for Jesus" are not unheard of. Other examples include:
1. Using copies of Qur'an as target practice
2. Throwing copies of Qur'an on the floor that were used by villagers to swear they do not have any knowledge of Taliban
3. US Army have used verses from bibles inscribed on guns used in Afghanistan as symbol of Christ's army against the mainly Muslim Afghans.
4. People being shot at inside the mosques at point blank
5. Army Chaplains in Afghanistan exhorting US soldiers "to be witnesses" for Jesus. 'The special forces guys -- they hunt men basically. We do the same things as Christians, we hunt people for Jesus. Get the hound of heaven after them, so we get them into the kingdom. That's what we do, that's our business."
6. Bibles are translated in Pashto, Dari and other local languages apparently for distribution to the villagers and the local population
7. Pages of Qur'an were flushed down the toilet at Guantanamo Bay prison run by the US military.

None of these actions are ever in line with the official version that is touted and shoved down our throats: Spreading the freedom and democracy, protecting women's rights, and freedom of speech and expression. At the end of the day it all boils down to supremacy and imperialism. Absolutely nothing else matters.

Crimes Against Humanity

Slowly the stories are trickling out. Murder, mayhem, torture, and any other atrocity one can imagine. All perpetrated against people around the world by those who still think they are purveyors of peace and democracy. Worst of all, the perpetrators continue to be defended by the US army, the civilian command, the press, and most American public.

Of course those who perpetrated these atrocities are directly responsible and should be held accountable and brought to justice without further delay. But don't hold your breath for that. There is no outcry, there is no outpouring of support for the aggrieved, there is no media frenzy, there is no call for special congressional hearings. The politicians are still celebrating the Healthcare bill approval by the congress.

Headline: How Americans are Propagandized About Afghanistan.

The story recounts the horrors of US military personnel killing people in cold blood, then covering their tracks with extensive procedures of extracting bullets from the victims' heads (no less). Then, after killing them, tying the women up to make them look like they were bound and gagged by the men for honor killing. What does it take to do all this? How much time does it take to extract bullets from skull? Who is actually doing the extraction? Is it a doctor/medic that is helping? Where are the platoon leaders, the people at the base, and others involved in the carnage?

All of these heinous acts take planning, time, and approvals from senior officers. How many people does it take to cover up these crimes?

The article cites major news media groups colluding with the army and corroborating the story as authentic at the time all of these atrocities took place. New York Times is part of that collusion!CNN is one of the most trusted names in the news business. They supposedly verified the facts, had their people on the ground and reporting the story, and the quotes from the officers in charge are all real. Is this really happening in America today? This is not a movie, this is real life.

After the truth is revealed neither of the original news sources have, to date, admitted complicity, responsibility, or even acknowledgement of false reporting. Do any of these organizations ever make a mistake?

Headline: WikiLeaks Video shows 12 dead in US Army Apache Assault on unarmed Reuters Cameramen.

"The WikiLeaks video of helicopter gunners shooting civilians and savoring their kills as if playing a video game, although horrific, is understandable." Understandable for who? Understandable from whose point of view?

Now the headlines are: WikiLeaks vidoe shows 12 dead in Iraq army assault
Another one says: WikiLeaks Misrepresents Apache Assault on Medhi [sic] Army Militia
The army senior officers defended these actions at the time. The problem is that even today they continue to defend these criminal and rogue elements. How wide spread is this problem? What about thousands upon thousands of murders in Iraq where people were finding headless bodies all around the city of Baghdad? Who really committed those atrocities? At least at the time they were blamed on militias? But is that really true. Who were those dead people?

The Nation (thenamtion.com), both in print and on their website most recently reported that their reporters in Pakistan saw operatives from US special operation forces involved in suicide bombings via cars and trucks. Since that reporting and some exposure of that news on news boards, the rate of suicide bombings have gone down to almost zero. Is that a coincidence?
Curiously enough, New York Times did not bother to print anything about either the murders in Afghanistan, (which they originally reported as honor killings and Al-Qaida fighters being neutralized) or the Video of innocent Iraqis being gunned down in broad daylight as if somebody is playing video game. CNN reported the story but did not bring all the horrific details to the fore citing concern for family members of the dead Iraqis. Really? Is the video not available in its entirety in million and one places, either directly or via a youtube embed?

These atrocities clearly amount to crimes against humanity. Will these criminals be exposed and brought to justice?

The Idiot in the Middle

If one studies religion of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam they may be surprised to find that without a doubt there are more similarities than there are differences. Starting from the Prophets, the Books, the basic tenets of right and wrong, are all identical in all three religions. Religious teachings, methods of prayer, even some of the timings for prayers is the same with only minor differences. Fasting is proscribed in all three religions in one form or another. Religious giving is practiced by all three religions. Despite the similarities, the differences are what bring the sides to war and atrocities against each other. In this war what role the media is playing? Is the media fair to all three religions? Is media reporting impartial or skewed against one religion or another. Why the atrocities of one religion hidden compared to other? Is that by design?

Media has been trashing Islam for years now. Everyday there are stories portraying Muslims as villains, anti-peace, and anti-America. Lately though Christianity has joined the ranks of religions that are out of media favor. Pope said the other day that unfair media reports target Catholic Church. This has been going on for a while. Lately Church of Scientology has joined the ranks of religious organizations that have been targeted by the mainstream media. It seems like there is a smear campaign underway against both Islam and Christianity. The campaign against Christians is a relatively new phenomenon. It was long time coming though since the malignment of Islam is reaching a point where its now part of the society at large. War against Christianity is the next frontier along with rewriting history for the benefit of the few. One religion that has been responsible for most atrocities through out the world and throughout history has been absent from the news and media scrutiny altogether. This is neither accidental, nor it should come as a surprise to those who have studied media in any length.

Jews have sold themselves as the God's chosen people and they can't do nothing wrong, or so it seems. They have reinforced this idea at every opportunity. Not only that but they have created opportunities to reinforce the idea that they are superior creation compared to the rest of the human race. As such anything and everything they do, including committing heinous atrocities against those who go against them, is considered perfectly alright and it is what is called for. The list of atrocities committed by the jews is rather long. The entire list can not be covered in one article so here's the short version:

Iraq war was the brain child of Richard Perl (AKA Prince of Darkness), a former Likud Party (of Israel) member now a fellow at AEI, the uber conservative think tanks with people like Lynn Cheney as its current members. Two other people instrumental in pushing that war were Paul Wolfowitz and Douglas Feith. All three happen to be jewish. In addition, Richard Perl wrote a white paper in 1988 redrawing the maps of middle east and rest of Asia and Africa. The paper is available on many website.

Atrocities committed by Jews and Israelis, which is one and the same, are so many but each and every one of them is sold to the American public and to the world as mitigating the threat against security of Israel. When it comes to Israel and the jews the world just totally forgets about that because media never questions anything as they question events attributed to Muslims and Christians.

Now the world is gearing up for mass murder against the Iranians. Of course the underlying premise of what is attributed to Iranian leaders is absolutely false but people have already been sold that lie and nobody questions that part anymore. Main stream media has been directly responsible for selling that lie and it continues to reinforce that lie with even bigger lies. It is a lie and people ought to find that out for themselves. Unfortunately, most people are too lazy, to preoccupied with their facebook buddies, and too bogged down with the current news that they don't care what the truth is anymore.

Whoever controls or owns the media controls everything else because that is where the opinions are formed and wars are sold. If you look up Associated Press you will see that it controls 5000+ newspapers and 1700+ TV stations directly. These are news outlets that get their stories primarily from Associated press. In addition there are many other outlets including Yahoo news portal, and now Google News Portal and many other outlets that source articles written for Associated press. These sources are scattered all around the world. If a story break in Pakistan its reported by somebody local in Pakistan, gets fed to the news editors sitting in US, edited for the slant of bias that must go in while protecting the sacred cows of Associated Press and then goes out to general public. Even though Associated Press is touted as a not for profit cooperative Tom Curley, CEO decides what news gets out and what stays in. Tom Curley happens to be jewish.

New York Times is owned by third generation of Sulzberger family. A prominent jewish family in New York area. The paper has nationwide distribution and it is considered to be a premier news source for millions of people around the country. It also owns several TV stations in the east coast and have affiliate relationships with, at last check, at least 8 news papers around the globe. From January 1st 2010 to March 15th 2010 there has never been a single day without at least one major story appearing in New York Times that is vehemently against Islam, Muslims, and Muslim world in general. Add to that special features that appear in the Magazine section and the opinion pieces from the likes of Thomas Friedman and Michael Isikoff. Both of them happen to be jewish. In addition the misceleneosu news articles about Iraq and Iran that are invariably biased and opinionated and none of that is ever good.

NewsCorp is owned by Rupert Murdoch who proudly says his mother was Jewish and he has undying allegiance to jews and Israel. NewsCorp, among other news outlets controls Fox News and Wall Street Journal. Roger Ailers runs the gamut at Fox News. Besides independent confirmation, just based on the news that comes out of Fox its a sure bet that he is jewish with an agenda.

Disney is now privately owned by a conglomeration of interests including Pixar, which in turn is owned by Gaffen Brothers, Spielberg and several other investors that are all jewish.
We are just scratching the surface. One does not have to dive too deep to find out that all media in its entirety is controlled by the jewish interests. From the News papers, to TV stations, to Public Access Channels in most major cities, to National Public Radio (NPR) is all owned and/or operated by jewish interests in one or the other way. Add to that entities like the Scaife and Koch foundations (both jewish owned) with billions of dollars to spend on propaganda at will, and you will know why jews, the perpetrators of most all wars are never in the news and never blamed for anything. Anything outside of that realm of jewish ownership is insignificant and does not matter at all.

Most recently two outfits have seen major changes in how they present the news, what they write about, and how the words are used in the headlines. Reuters have been transformed about three months ago and about a month ago Christian Science Monitor, the mouthpiece of the Church of Scientology has seen a sea change in the coverage. Christian Science Monitor is one of the premier newspaper that was, until recently it seems, was not affiliated with any other news organization such as Associated Press. That is changing now and the end result is yet to be seen.
Among the three main religions, the Muslim are bearing the majority of the blame for all sorts of world problems but the idiots (and I say that with love and affection) in the middle are the Christians. They always side with the jews but never realize that they are being back stabbed on daily basis and sold out right from under their noses.

Healthy Lifestyle

Eating healthy and as a result being healthy, feeling good about yourself, and looking good is no accident. Sometimes its hard work depending on your starting point. No one single habit or routine will get you where you need to be. Just prayers, no matter who you pray to, will not do it either. The suggestions below are just the start. Once you feel and look good many other good things follow. You could become more active, start exercise routine, go out more often, or any number of other things that will complement suggestions listed below.

Start today, start now!

1. Reduce the Portion Size
One of the most important things you can do towards healthy eating. Reduce the portion size to approximately half or at minimum by a quarter. When at the table take small portions and resist the urge for the third helping.

2. Curb the Urge to Eat
If you have had a good breakfast, and you have your lunch waiting but you feel hungry in the middle of the morning curb the urge to eat snacks or whatever you can find in your desk drawer. Get busy with something: Internet, exercise, new project in the office, or just pick up the phone and talk to somebody. Drink some water. Soon enough your mind will be off the food bandwagon and you will enjoy your lunch lot more.

3. No Sodas, just Water Please
Completely stop drinking sodas. The biggest appetite killer, the worst filler without being nutritious, and most calorie laden item on your table could be the soda or any carbonated water. If you must take anything other than water with your meal, make it unsweetened Ice Tea. Hot water towards the end of your meal will increase your metabolism and make you feel better breaking down the fat and grease in the process.

4. Fast Once a Month
Fasting is great to curb your urge to eat. Muslims fast every day for one whole month, but you don't have to. You don't have to convert either. Fasting once a month will do wonders for your health. Eat a balanced meal in the morning, then resolve not to eat until after dark. Do what you always do during the day. Then have a healthy balanced meal at the end of the day and it will help you shed extra poundage faster and easier.

5. Eat A Healthy Meal
Eat a full healthy meal instead of filling yourself up with things you don't like, or want to eat just because you are hungry. If you eat a lot of junk food that works as a filler you will still be "hungry" for a meal at the designated time while you are full with junk food. That is very detrimental to your well being, how you feel the rest of the day or in the morning, and also for your diet plan.

What Would Obama Do

If he ran his presidency as if this is his one and only term in the office

There are people who question if Obama can win second term in the office. At this time he is being kept afloat, barely. The stock market ups and downs are just enough to make it look good for few days, and then it all falls apart until the next cycle. This is well orchestrated. The man behind this facade is the White House Chief of Staff.

Given the disillusionment created at the hands of same set of people, with collusion from the media what if Obama was to break himself free from his current handlers, fire his Chief of Staff and replace him with someone who really deserves the job, and ran his presidency as if this is his last term in the office. What would he do? If he was to keep the promises he made to American people without the interference from his handlers, those who voted for him first time can help him guarantee a win again. As things stand, the ones that voted for him are losing confidence in his ability to deliver on his promises. Not becuase he cannot but because his agenda has been hijacked. (Read analysis if his first term) Those who did not vote for him will never vote for him even if Obama gave them hoards of cash and promised them a place in paradise.
What can he do to affect a 180 degree about face?

He would tell Israel to take a hike
American image has been badly damaged in the eyes of the world, including our most trusted friends for the humiliating defeat of Obama policy when it comes to Middle East peace. The illegal settlements in occupied territories continue, evictions and murder at the hands of IDF continue unabated, the Israeli media war and smear machine continue to pull new tactics to undermine American foreign policy. If Obama ran his presidency as if he only going to be in the office for one term he would stop all aid to Israel until they comply with the legitimate demands of those who want peace in the middle east. He would reign in all the under secretaries running amok at the State Department making their own policy as they go along when it comes to Israeli and middle east politics. These policies are one of undermining Obama's policy of engagement with the leaders in the middle east.

Genuine Effort towards resolving Iranian Nuclear issue
Obama promised diplomacy and an extension of friendship towards Iran. That never happened. The current regime at the state department will not allow that to happen. From the very start of the Obama administration the approach to Iran was that of hostility, outright belligerence, and threats. The policy of disengagement that was put in place by bush/cheney cabal never, for one day, changed. The hand of friendship that Obama wanted to offer to Iranian was cut off as soon as Obama took office. The threat of Military action was never taken off the table, the embargo, and sanctions continue, and the bellicosity that preceded the current administration coming directly from the state department never ceased for one day.
Obama would silence all his detractors at the state department by making a historic trip to Tehran, talking to the Iranians directly, and offering them what no administration has ever done: a genuine engagement for real negotiations.

Stop the Bailout Scam
Billions and Trillions of dollars have been wasted to artificially prop up economy and that has not helped create single job. Only the larger corporations and their CEOs have benefited from the bailout since there is general perception that the pay czar is an inside man. What it may have done is a backward slide of job loss which is really not a gain but a false hope of an improved economy. That bubble can only last for a short time because there is nothing to sustain those jobs for the long run. The only people that have benefited from the bailout are the ones that never needed the bailout. The people that are pushing the bailout and benefiting from it are the same set of people. It's the trademark collusion of the filthy rich that include the bankers, the media, insurance companies, and the military industrial complex.

Geitner has proven himself to be part of the inside crowd and a failure, as suspected from the day one. Geitner must go. At this point Obama dog is probably a better candidate to run the fiscal house than Geitner.

Bring the Culprits to Justice
Those who have committed heinous crimes against humanity should be brought to justice. That includes some people at the highest levels in the previous government. This has to be done if America is to gain credibility in the world. Without taking this serious step towards correcting the wrongs at the hands of those in power we will lose what is left of any credibility in the eyes of the world. Without credibility the only way to keep our supremacy will be to create more wars, more chaos, more bloodshed. There are no two ways about it.

Universal Truth: If the criminals are not brought to justice they live to do the same or even worse crimes again.

Is there still time for an about face? Very little if any. It will take courage, it will take audacity, the same audacity that brought Obama to the office in the first place.

With a vast empire covering most major areas along with a well established distribution network for its flagship newspaper, the New York Times, there is very little that The New York Times Company cannot influence. Multiply that with the syndication of its publications over the Internet and other electronic media and add the international alliances via the International Herald Tribune and you have making of a media empire. What New York Times says becomes reality.

As the media giant, coming out of city of hate, New York Times has been spewing hatred towards Muslims and Islam for decades now. Never a day has gone by when the New York Times does not carry an article, most of the time several articles in one day, bringing out an aspect of Islam with a negative spin on what could easily be explained otherwise by a scholar of Islam or even a lay person that is even slightly versed in the teachings of Islam. The spin is always negative, the portrayal is always skewed, the outcome is always one sided. Always.

Some examples are more egregious than others and have far reaching consequences. Here are three articles that have appeared within the last three months.

On January 27, 2010 New York Times published what it called "The Jihadist Next Door" written by Andrea Elliott. It was a lengthy article and went into great detail about all aspects of the topic at hand. Not that much of it was accurate, it read very nicely and majority of it sounded very plausible. You have to know a lot about Islam and Muslims in order to look at it critically and refute some of the assertions it made. Unfortunately, most of the readers would have absolutely no clue. At one count there were 263 comments on the article. The article portrayed the life of Omar Hammami, born and raised in America. He went to school in Alabama and attended church while growing up in small town. The article suggests among other things:

This kind of transition from normal school boy to a Jihadi is rampant among the Muslim youths
The family structure within the Muslim Household is broken down
This can happen time and again
We must take action to prevent this from happening
We are being over taken by the people with Jihadi agenda
No one of Muslim faith can be trusted

This article is coming at the heels of another article from the same author about an Imam. One can imagine the mudslinging that went on in that article. That article garnered the author a Pulitzer prize. That is also part of the claim to fame for this article.

In a society that is a great melting pot something has failed this kid that went from small town USA to being aligned with the Shabab's army in Somalia. Not only that but he also in the process convinced few of his friends to go along with him. That something that has failed this young man is the very phenomenon of melting pot. What exactly is it that drove him to seek out these outside influences that were strong enough to change him from his moderate, even church going upbringing so radically? It's not what one finds on the Internet; it's not what is being preached at the mosques; and it's not what is being taught at schools. What is breaking down is the societal norms of inclusion. The constant bombardment of us versus them. From the time you wake up in the morning to the time you go to bed there is the constant barrage of negativity about one's religion, beliefs, and origins. It is the equivalent of school yard bullying. There is no escape from this which is driving many young Muslims towards seeking out ways to help the downtrodden, a basic tenet within Islam. It's absolutely no different from a jewish kid going to iz-ra-eel to learn more about the history and it's people and then coming back home and supporting iz-ra-eel in any which way he or she can using media, school programs, fund raising, debates, speeches, articles and the positive feedback that goes with that. All of these avenues and outlets are closed for a person like Omar Hammami. None of these normal channels are available to thousands of people like Omar Hammami. When your belief is strong and you want to do something with the strength and desire to help can manifest itself in many different ways.

On March 3rd, New York Times Published an article called "Divorced Before Puberty" written by Nicholas D. Kristof. The article talks about a 10 year old girl getting married to somebody that is about 20 years older than her. The article made it sound like this is something sanctioned by Islamic religion. It also made it sound like it happens everyday and everywhere in the Muslim world. Reality is far from it. The author not only tells the story of this little unfortunate girl but in the process malign Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, both Muslim countries.

There is no doubt about isolated cases of this inhumane treatment of girls and women but Muslims countries are not the only ones where monsters are perpetrating these crimes. Remember the Austrian guy raping his own daughter and having 5 kids with her, the Jaycee Dugard case in California is fresh on our minds, and the celebrity case of the singer of the Mammas and the Pappas having sex with his daughter. Add to these atrocities the child abuse cases in the Catholic church and the church actively hiding and muffling those cases by moving the priests around. All of that is swept under the rug and New York Times does not have much to say about any of that. On some of these cases there have been no reporting by New York Times at all since it did not happen specifically in New York. A rather convenient technicality.

Yemen is the way it is not ONLY because its women are deprived. It could be a contributing factor but not a top of the list contributing factor. It is the one sided policy of discrimination at the international political level of US and other western countries that perpetuate the situation in Yemen. Yemen is being used as the checkmate for Saudi Arabia. It is a well known fact that the militias of the Houti tribe were well armed and had sophisticated weaponry. They even had their own uniforms. That is a pretty good indicator that they are well funded and well armed. Those weapons did not come from Iran. Those weapons were channelled from South Korea to the ports of Sanaa, delivered to Houti tribesmen to fight against the Saudi government troops. The on-again-off-again assault of the Houti tribes over the Yemeni government forces and the Saudi villages is the direct reflection of the failed diplomatic efforts of Hillary Clinton. The rebels have declared truce for now. When the state department would like to do some arm twisting involving Saudi Arabia those Houti Tribesmen will rise again on queue from the operatives of state departments.

For Pakistan the dynamics are even more complex. Under the benign and very pro-American dictatorship of Mr. Musharraf, Pakistan offered its full support to US against the Taliban. This was done at huge risk to Musharraf's own life and well being. As a result of that he was a target of several assassination attempts. The dividend of all this effort and alliance went to India instead in the form of subsidies, equipment, and guarantees for its nuclear program. Not even a thank you for Pakistan. On the contrary there was additional belt tightening of funds and technology transfer to Pakistan. The most important reason: Pakistan is a Muslim country. Nobody from the current regime at State Department will ever support providing what Pakistan really needs to make the right progress in curbing the advances of outside forces like the Taliban.

For both Yemen and Pakistan, poverty is the one and most prevalent reason why women don't go to schools and don't advance to colleges. Schooling of kids is not free in most of Pakistan. When the head of the household has to make a choice between providing food for his family and sending kids to school, the food, a basic necessity, usually wins out, hands down. One must wonder if Kristof took this very real and hard fact into account while writing his well worded malignment of Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. When is Kristof going to write espousing the benefits of policy of engagement instead of policy of confrontation with both Yemen and Pakistan?

On March 6th New York Times published an article with the heading: "Arabia: Inshallah, Obama" written by Maureen Dowd. Dowd's writing is academic, to say the least. She is what most would call an accidental Journalist. She would be better off writing for a blog instead of writing for New York Times where the readers expect lot more than the rants of an accidental journalist. (she probably does write for a blog with same hatred for Arabs, Muslims and Islam) The article rehearses a conversation between her and Prince Faisal, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia. The premise of the article, starting from the title, is poking fun at the Arabs in general and an undertone of tongue-in-cheek attitude towards what amounts to policy discussion and serious subject matters such as dealing with settlement activity by the iz-ra-eeli-s, the question of restarting the stalled negotiations for the peace process in the Middle East, and the Iranian crises.

Underlying aspects of the conversation:
First she uses the full name of Barak Obama with the middle name spelled out. Not a coincidence since it's not commonly used. It is only used when the purpose is to spread the controversy. Here is some of what she says:
"The address of the first American president with Muslim roots"
That is a thorn in many voters' side but New Work Times has to publicise that from time to time to keep things in check.

Here she goes for the jugular:
"It’s probably a sign of progress that Prince Saud calls it "a border dispute." Unless it’s just his understated way. He also refers to "the 9/11 incident" and alludes to the Holocaust obliquely as "World War II."" "Despite repeated attacks by Arab states and Arab and Iranian-backed militant groups, and a call for Israel’s destruction by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran, Prince Saud suggested that Israel might be overreacting about security because of "World War II" and that this prevented a peace deal."

Here is the breakdown:

"Despite repeated attacks (justification for what Iz-ra-eel does) Border dispute (read as if he is undermining the severity of the issue), 9/11 being an incident (something that has totally consumed the American psyche when worse atrocities have been committed in the name of 9/11, but the media wants to keep that in the forefront, and despite the fact that many credible American politicians have called it something other than what the American government has led the public to believe), and referring to Holocaust as World War II (anything but that. It's the ultimate weapon in a news person's arsenal alluding to anti-semitism).

Thomas Friedman is the original three headed snake that talks with one head and bites with the other two. Maureen Dowd is clearly following in his footsteps. It would be wise for the Saudi government, and all the Arab and Muslim governments to declare journalists attached in any way to New York Times, Associated Press, and NewsCorp as persona non-grata and not allow any conversations with them especially by those who are in position of power. These so called journalists go there, eat their food, talk to them as if they are friends, put them at ease, get the unofficial take on the current issues and present them to the American public as if it is the official version. American people, not knowing Albania from Zimbabwe believe anything and everything that these journalists put out as news and spit it out on queue at the comments on the news and other forums to malign Muslims and Islam. Two for the price of one. Unfortunately the chances of Prince Faisal reading what is attributed to him in dialogues such as this one from Maureen Dowd in the New York Times are remote at best. What is even more remote is the possibility of any corrections of what is attributed to him. What is almost guaranteed from the likes of Friedman and Dowd is that they will twist and twist again what was said in a private conversation to promote their own nefarious agendas.

These are only three examples of the most recent articles that have helped expose the overall agenda of New York Times of hatred towards Muslims all around the world. More and more articles are showing up on daily basis that are suggesting that hate towards American citizens of Muslim origin or those who may have converted to Islam is OK and in fact maybe called for. There is not one Muslim country that is exempt from the wrath of news hacks at the New York Times. Those who best the agenda of hate among the New York Times and Associated Press writers are sure to get a berth at the highly coveted (kissing each other's ass) Pulitzer Prize.

Oh So "Precious"

This is definitly a chick flick.

However, its a gritty movie that deserves to be seen by the strong and silent type just as well as all the rest. Word of caution: don't go there if you are looking for something cheery and lighthearted.

Oprah produced it so that means it will have something like, "oh you should...." and "we need to...." kind of pontification which was for sure there but not as bad as it usually is in Spike Lee movies. Most all of that is subtle and under the covers. (no pun intended)

There is no pun and there is no humor but if you laughed while watching Pulp Fiction you might laugh at some situations in this movie too. The "funny" is more situational and unintentional than otherwise.

The story of precious may resonate with thousands. Worse still, and unfortunately, some people maybe reliving some part of their lives while watching this movie. The flashbacks and flash forwards are all too real and add that special character to the movie that will make it worth your while.

The story of a young girl that has seen it all and done it all in short span of time what most others do in a lifetime.

The movie initially came off as stuffy and the ending was just blah ending for something that has so much going on throughout the entire movie but more you think about it more it grows on you and you start to see the point of bringing these issue in the fore. Tormented women that have nowhere to go. How many people in our midst are in this situation but we don't know about it. OK, that was crazy question! Bonus: You get to see Mariah Carey sans all the Makeup. Some girls have to do a lot, don't they. Some bonus.

Thank you Oprah.

On a scale of 1-5 and 5 being the best, this movie gets 4-1/2. Make it your first choice except if you are on a first date.

No Spin A Pleasant Surprise

American media left in the dust

Few Days ago an article in Christian Science Monitor mentioned about news media that was relatively unbiased. It's a rather novel concept in these troubled times. What was not surprising at all was the fact that not one of the outlet was US based. Free speech produces all sorts of monsters and one of them happens to be the one where whoever owns the media can spew any amount of lies and get away with it.

One of the surprises in the list was Hindu Times.

The Hindu Times is far cry, at least from the preliminary reading, from the bias and hatred that Associated Press or New York Times spews out. Here is the report in question:

Headline: Saudi Arabia 'worried' about Pakistan situation

What was remarkable about the article? Unlike the Associated Press article which would have reminded the reader about Three wars that India and Pakistan have fought in the past, the gory details of the Mumbai Attacks (how many killed and how the synagogue was attacked and how old is that survivor boy from the synagogue etc.) it stuck to the facts regarding the topic at hand which was the Saudi foreign Minister's meeting with the visiting prime minister of India. In addition there were ample details about the trip and related happenings and other articles if you really wanted to dig deeper.

The New York Times would not have fared any better than Associated Press since they are both cut from the same cloth, one that has the bias as hubris written all over it. It is refreshing to see a news outlet that sticks to new reporting instead of news making. Opinions are good but those should remain in the editorial pages instead of on the front pages disguised as news.

Toyota Has A Problem

What does Toyota and Iran have in common?

Stanley McCrystal has apologized to the people of Afghanistan for killing civilians by mistake. Media is all over it and he is a hero. All is good because the media says so. So where is the voice of the bereaved? Are they OK with it? Is Apology enough? Where are the scholarships, and the memorials, and memoirs for the dead? Maybe they were all just losers and had nothing to say or contribute to society. Maybe they deserved this fate!

So America kills and all they have to do is apologize. When it comes to Toyota, nobody is buying their apology. The tearful testimony from a driver, the repetition of bad news throughout the mainstream media playing in the hands of the special interest groups.

Iran making Nuclear weapons? According to media they already have their finger on the trigger ready to launch these weapons of mass destruction. In reality and according to the best estimates they are about 15 years away from nuclear weapon capability. The nuclear plant that Russia promised is still under construction. Constant delays and reneging of the signed contracts is the order of the day. Russia playing both sides to extract maximum political capital.
So what is the point? What does Toyota and Iran have in common? Apparently a lot. Both Toyota and Iran need better PR machines. Of course the media is not going to say the right thing unless they are paid lots of money. Buying journalists is age old practice and the media sacred cows always get the best treatment. How much is Ford and GM paying their lobbyists to spread the bad news?

The mealy mouth apology of Toyota chief and his cowering in front of the congress only shows a complete lack of understanding of American system and American way of doing things. Now they are going to spend a billion dollar fixing the damage caused by this apology. The lawsuits, the lost sales, and the image problem will cost Toyota hundreds of millions of dollars. Every little problem will be attributed to bad breaks and whatever other ills that they can find, all lumped in this giant issue of unintended acceleration because of stuck accelerator.

There was a better solution to this problem and may have saved Toyota few millions in the long run. They could have spent million dollar on securing a good lobbyist, a savvy PR firm, a team of well connected lawyers, and few well placed journalists and problem would have been mitigated. Not to mention, a few heads at high places should have rolled, blamed this problem where it belongs which is at the point these parts were tested and that happens to be at the factories here in the US. Aren't these cars assembled and tested here in the US. Sure the parts come from Japan but the final testing and approval rests on the engineers in the US factories.

Maybe this will be a lesson for the next generation of Toyoda family, the fourth generation. What would the grandfather have done if faced with the same situation? A question we may never find the answer to.

We Want Money, And Lots Of It

Since WWII companies, big and small have made restitution to Holocaust funds worldwide. Recently, IBM made undisclosed restitution for its alleged part in providing computers and related know how to Germans during WWII. It turned out some of the equipment was purchased before the war.

Nevertheless, IBM capitulated under pressure for perceived defamation promised by jewish groups and in the process not only promised huge sums to several jewish organizations but, against their better economic judgment, decided to move major part of its development to Haifa, iz-ra-eel to appease the jewish lawyers that were ready to drag IBM through courts for whatever they can get out of IBM, even if it took years. This amounts to hundreds of millions of dollars, if not billions of dollars for jewish groups and for the jewish state. This is in addition to the billions already extracted, by hook or crook, in the name of holocaust. These funds go to the benefit of hundreds of organizations that support many causes including usurping of Palestinian land, getting people to visit Iz-ra-eel, providing scholarship funds to jewish students, and contributing to iz-ra-eeli political interests all across the united States. The visits mentioned earlier are part of the Birth Right movement but they are not limited to jewish youth. They bring in American politicians, including big names like Governor of Texas Rick Perry, the media people across the spectrum, and anybody that could benefit and increase the influence of the jewish state.

Fast forward to atrocities and extra judicial killings in Iraq. The survivors of some of the dead received $200-2000 only. No scholarships, no trips, no industry moving to Iraq, no lawsuits. Nothing. A measly $200 for Iraqi blood. There were videos aplenty to show soldiers handing out money to women in Burqas, toting a kid along in the dust to get her $200. Some may have gotten $2000 but those were few and far between.

Today General McCrystal is apologizing to Afghans for killing, by government count, 27 civilians. What is the current exchange rate and how much or how far $200 will go in the war ravaged country? This is not the first time the civilians have died at the hands of errant special operations forces. If past is any indicator forget the exchange rate. You will not need it. You ain't getting anything other than a televised apology so Associated Press can display that with pride, write up a biased article and everybody will be happy.

How the CCN comments work - Moderation, Culling, outright discrimination

We asked around and after much struggle and lot of phone calls Pavilion found somebody who was willing to talk about this very sensitive issue. How the comments are moderated at CCN.

"I worked for CCN, one based in GA and I was one of the many people that were part of the comments moderation. Here is how the comments are moderated at CCN:

When you first sign on you have to confirm your email and login credentials. Once you have done that your name goes in a database that is compared against a database of names. The names in this master database are compared for Muslim sounding names. Any names that match the criteria are set aside in another database. The user is not restricted from commenting after you sign on but the names do not show up as the user name but only as Guest. This prevents you from searching for your comment as fast as if you were to have your name appear on a page of comments.

These guest comments are treated in a special way. Once the comments by these "Guests" are posted they are matched up and culled on regular basis for comments that are overly sensitive to Israel, zionism, any special interests, names of companies (For example New York Times, Associate Press). These companies are sacred and nothing can last too long with the comments that speak negatively about these entities or companies.

Other comments that make "too much" sense such as points made with eloquence about Islam, Muslims, and things that can not be refuted easily are regularly removed from the list of comments. Initially this takes place using a fairly sophisticated software with lot of rules and algorithm to separate the "good" from the "bad."

Majority of the work is done by computers however the logic in a comment, although discernible by a computer program, is usually given a second look by a human person, like myself. We have strict instructions to adhere to the rules and policies given to us as part of the initial training. Here is a partial list of things we have to watch for. These are top of the agenda:

1. Negative comments regarding CCN
2. Overly negative comments referring to Israeli policies and comparing them with Apartheid, Nazism, Zionism
3. Personal Information - whether that is of the person posting the comment or about another person - is removed immediately
4. Mention of another website with a link (especially a deep link)
5. Negatively mentioning other companies such as other news organizations
6. Any information that could be deemed classified - loosely following State Department guidelines
7. Comments that are overly long and convoluted in nature

As part of these rules, policies and guidelines there is a special section for anything related to Islam and Muslims.

This section mentions in quite a lot of detail what can and can not be included. Generically speaking any comments inciting violence against Muslims are considered offensive and should be removed. However, comments regarding the prophet, Allah, the Muslim clergy, the Imams are all fair game. There is also a mention of free speech when it comes to comments on Islam and Muslims.

I was fired from CCN because some people thought that I was being "too fair" with some of the comments. The word among the people working in my group was that it (people getting fired for this specific reason) could happen to anybody and other people have either been moved or let go if the group leader or the reviewer thought a person was not following the specific policy. The termination was immediate and without recourse.

Here are some work around but nothing is fool proof because you can fool the computer once but that is about it. New words and variation of words are added on regular basis just like virus definitions or words in a Spam filter:
1. Use creative word variation
2. Be on the look out for your comments. Make copies of your comments. If you see them removed, post them again. They will be there for at least a little while until the next round of comment culling
3. Use fictitious name. Use an alternate name in your email too.

When Will Pakistan Get Any Respect

Kudos all around for Pakistan. Even from America and most of all from American media. Although the media coverage is still muffled and mealy mouthed. These things are absolutely unheard of. Is this the change Obama promised the world? Is this start of something new?

Pakistan can do no right. For years everybody has maligned Pakistan for not killing their own people, for having to work with archaic equipment, for having to deal with sanctions, tariffs, custom duties and countless other ways that have hamstrung them from making any progress against the forces of evil. Not only that but it has damaged the industry, education and everything in between. Yes there is corruption, yes there are actors in Pakistan working on both sides, but name one country that does not have that problem. Name just one country please.

For years Pakistan has been blamed for Afghanistan's internal problems while ineptitude and corruption in and outside of Afghan government has gone unnoticed. The same corruption that has been going on for years including Karzai telling the opium growers to continue producing opium has just now surfaced because it is in the interest of NATO and the US to bring that out after the botched elections.

The best way forward with Pakistan is to give them what they need in training, sophisticated warfare equipment, tanks, drones, and aeroplanes. State department should remove the hoops the Pakistanis have to jump to get even a lousy night vision goggles. Pakistan has the talent and the know how to take advantage of these "facilities" and reign in the actors that are colluding with anybody that America thinks is working against their interest. Perhaps they have shown too much talent in the past that soon after the new technology is sold to Pakistan they have come up with their own by reverse engineering.

More importantly, they need to tell Karzai to straighten his own house and stop the corruption in his government. Some but not enough of that is happening. One way to deal with the people of Afghanistan: kill all the Pashtuns, Pakhtoons, and Uzbek. Another way: give these majorities their rights and allow them to participate in the government. People of Afghanistan are tired of war and they are tired of interference from outside. People of Afghanistan are tired of proxy wars and wars for saving face. People of Afghanistan want to be left alone.

People of Pakistan are tired of having their sovereignty taken away. People of Pakistan are tired of politicians that are sold out to foreign governments for pittance, and they are tired of not being able to practice freedom in their own country. People are tired of living in fear. People of Pakistan want to be left alone and find their own way out.

The recent advances in democracy in Pakistan, although not perfect, are a clear indication of that. Will America oblige?

The Truth Will Prevail

This year Feb 14th is the 5th anniversary of the assisination of Rafiq Hariri. He was the beloved son of Lebanon, one of the best things that happened to Lebanon. He was charismatic, he had all the right connections across the Muslim world, he was even involved in politics of countries like Pakistan. He was instrumental in the education of thousands of Lebanese through the works of Hariri Foundation. He was a real valentine for many. What he lacked was the sufficient backing of the then state department. That is how he got killed.

If you know anything about the Middle East politics, you know that its easy to assisinate people and even easier to lay the blame on whomever you want to lay the blame on. Rafiq Hariri's assasination and subsequent blame game is no exception to that tried and true rule.

For years all everybody has heard is "people" pointing fingers at Syria. Poeple that have absolutely nothing to do with Lebanese politics. People that don't even know where Lebanon is on the map. But that is only in the US. It's the easiest part of the blame game. Who is going to question that? Is the media going to question the validity of that blame? Absolutely not. The entire mainstream media, without a single exception, is married to one and its favorite cause: backing Iz-ra-eel even at the expense of the destruction of our democratic ideals. Are the people going to challenge the varacity of this claim. There is no chance of that. How is anybody going to questions it? Why is anybody going to question that? Are they going to question that via the blogs and comments on the blogs? For all practical purposes comments on the blog are meaningless chatter, especially after the fact. Comments are moderated by the same people that edit the original news. Is anything that they don't want reported can get past those moderators? Absolutely not. Has anybody tried undoing the damage caused by false reporting? Good luck with that. That leaves the foreign press. However, so little of that tricles down to American audience that the impact of it is negligent, better yet its non-existent. What if three or so people know the truth or are convinced that its anything other than what the mainstream media is selling. Does anything change?

The people that have visited Lebanon and have been following this story from day one has a different opinion though. The opinion no one ever hears. They all point finger at Iz-ra-eel. There is very little doubt in the minds of majority of Lebanese because by way of technique, the aftermath, the method of detonation, the lack of any proof left afterwards, and the magnitude of the explostion and the destruction caused by it, all points to this being the work of M0ssad. Poeple in the know, that have seen both relate this to the bombng that killed the South Lebanes Army general that was going to testify against Ariel Sharon in the case of war crimes against Sharon in Belgium.

Lebanon, with its internal strife going on, does not have the know how to do any investigation. Syria had just pulled most of its operatives from Lebanon and there was no high enough ranking officer that could be available on the scene when the bombing took place. The evidence gathered was stale and may be tainted to start with. No other country in the middle east has its own forensics experts to do a real and thorough analysis of the evidence. Therein lies the biggest advantage for Iz-ra-eel. Therein lies the freedom of having a free hand that Iz-ra-eel has over anybody that it deems an enemy. In addition, all the Arab countries are loath to admit that they don't have neither the experties, or the political clout, nor the power to question what International court of public opinion, formualted at the hands of kept media, holds.

Until any one or more of these factors change the targeted killings will continnue unabated and blame will continue to be placed on whomever Iz-ra-eel chooses to put the blame on.

Why Do Women Wear Hijab In Islam?

Editor's note: This is second of several articles about many aspects of Hijab in Islam from women's perspective.

Western world for all its advances in knowledge aquisition has conveniently forgot many things including respect for other religions. French are trying to take the lead in showing the world they are the worst of the biggots and proud of it.

As part of this war on Islam the western media is foremost in spreading not only hatred but all kinds of misconceptions about Islam. As part of that process Hijab has been made symbol of tyranny and opression by Muslim men over Muslim women. This is farthest from the truth in 99% of the cases. Unfortunately, nobody questions the western media when it comes to maligning Islam and Muslims. Not only that but based on some of the comments left on blogs indicate that some people revel in spewing hatred and biggotry. News outlets like CNN has made their business to single out Muslim issues to allow comments so people can spew thier hatred.

During all of this one thing that is overlooked is the fact that most Muslim women have their own ability to read, understand, and implement teachings of Islam. These teachinngs, as the following write-up shows, include wearing Hijab and covering oneself, and being modest.

Consider the following:
The prescription of Hijab is even mentioned in other religions, for example, Christianity. As you read below you will find the details of the mentioning of Hijab in the Holy Bible.

The common misconception among westerners is that "Why does Islam degrade women by keeping them behind the veil?

Answer:
The status of women in Islam is often the target of attacks in the secular media. The ‘hijab’ or the Islamic dress is cited by many as an example of the ‘subjugation’ of women under Islamic law. Before we analyze the reasoning behind the religiously mandated ‘hijab’, let us first study the status of women in societies before the advent of Islam.

1. In the past women were degraded and used as objects of lust
The following examples from history amply illustrate the fact that the status of women in earlier civilizations was very low to the extent that they were denied basic human dignity:

a. Babylonian Civilization: The women were degraded and were denied all rights under the Babylonian law. If a man murdered a woman, instead of him being punished, his wife was put to death.

b. Greek Civilization: Greek Civilization is considered the most glorious of all ancient civilizations. Under this very ‘glorious’ system, women were deprived of all rights and were looked down upon. In Greek mythology, an ‘imaginary woman’ called ‘Pandora’ is the root cause of misfortune of human beings. The Greeks considered women to be subhuman and inferior to men. Though chastity of women was precious, and women were held in high esteem, the Greeks were later overwhelmed by ego and sexual perversions. Prostitution became a regular practice amongst all classes of Greek society.

c. Roman Civilization: When Roman Civilization was at the zenith of its ‘glory’, a man even had the right to take the life of his wife. Prostitution and nudity were common amongst the Romans.

d. Egyptian Civilization: The Egyptian considered women evil and as a sign of a devil.

e. Pre-Islamic Arabia: Before Islam spread in Arabia, the Arabs looked down upon women and very often when a female child was born, she was buried alive.

2. Islam uplifted women and gave them equality and expects them to maintain their status.
Islam uplifted the status of women and granted them their just rights 1400 years ago. Islam expects women to maintain their status.

Hijab for men

People usually only discuss ‘hijab’ in the context of women. However, in the Glorious Qur’an, Allah (God) first mentions ‘hijab’ for men before ‘hijab’ for the women.

The Qur’an mentions in Surah Noor: "Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: and Allah (God) is well acquainted with all that they do." [Al-Qur’an: Chapter 24, Verse 30].

The moment a man looks at a woman and if any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind, he should lower his gaze.

Hijab for women

The next verse of Surah Noor, says: "And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons..." [Al-Qur’an: Chapter 24, Verse 31]3.

Six criteria for Hijab

According to Qur’an and Sunnah (i.e.Teaching of our beloved Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him) there are basically six criteria for observing hijab:

1. Extent: The first criterion is the extent of the body that should be covered. This is different for men and women. The extent of covering obligatory on the male is to cover the body at least from the navel to the knees. For women, the extent of covering obligatory is to cover the complete body except the face and the hands upto the wrist. If they wish to, they can cover even these parts of the body. Some scholars of Islam insist that the face and the hands are part of the obligatory extent of ‘hijab’. All the remaining five criteria are the same for men and women.

2. The clothes worn should be loose and should not reveal the figure.

3. The clothes worn should not be transparent such that one can see through them.

4. The clothes worn should not be so glamorous as to attract the opposite sex.

5. The clothes worn should not resemble that of the opposite sex.

6. The clothes worn should not resemble that of the unbelievers i.e. they should not wear clothes that are specifically identities or symbols of the unbelievers’ religions.

It is a misconception that Hijab is prescribed only in Islam. But if we read the Holy Bible carefully, we will find the mention of Hijab in the following verses

1. Corinthians Chapter 11 Verses 5-6 It says "5- But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6- For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered".

2. Deuteronomy Chapter 22 Verse 5

It says "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God".

3. Timothy Chapter 2 Verse 9

It says "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array".

From the above verses of the The Holy Bible we come to know that Christianity is more stricter than Islam regarding Hijab. Because it says that if the women does not cover her head shave off her head. Nowhere in the Qur'an it is mentioned that if the women does not cover her head shave off her head. Also, if you see the picture of Mother Mary you will always see her in Hijab.

4. Hijab includes conduct and behaviour among other things

Complete ‘hijab’, besides the six criteria of clothing, also includes the moral conduct, behaviour, attitude and intention of the individual. A person only fulfilling the criteria of ‘hijab’ of the clothes is observing ‘hijab’ in a limited sense. ‘Hijab’ of the clothes should be accompanied by ‘hijab’ of the eyes, ‘hijab’ of the heart, ‘hijab’ of thought and ‘hijab’ of intention. It also includes the way a person walks, the way a person talks, the way he behaves, etc.

5. Hijab prevents molestation

The reason why Hijab is prescribed for women is mentioned in the Qur’an in the following verses of Surah Al-Ahzab: "O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad); that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." [Al-Qur’an: Chapter 33, Verse 59]

The Qur’an says that Hijab has been prescribed for the women so that they are recognized as modest women and this will also prevent them from being molested.

6. Example of twin sisters

Suppose two sisters who are twins, and who are equally beautiful, walk down the street. One of them is attired in the Islamic hijab i.e. the complete body is covered, except for the face and the hands up to the wrists. The other sister is wearing western clothes, a mini skirt or shorts. Just around the corner there is a hooligan or ruffian who is waiting for a catch, to tease a girl. Whom will he tease? The girl wearing the Islamic Hijab or the girl wearing the skirt or the mini? Naturally he will tease the girl wearing the skirt or the mini. Such dresses are an indirect invitation to the opposite sex for teasing and molestation. The Qur’an rightly says that hijab prevents women from being molested.

7. Capital punishment for the rapists

Under the Islamic shariah, a man convicted of having raped a woman, is given capital punishment. Many are astonished at this ‘harsh’ sentence. Some even say that Islam is a ruthless, barbaric religion! I have asked a simple question to hundreds of non-Muslim men. Suppose, God forbid, someone rapes your wife, your mother or your sister. You are made the judge and the rapist is brought in front of you. What punishment would you give him? All of them said they would put him to death. Some went to the extent of saying they would torture him to death. To them I ask, if someone rapes your wife or your mother you want to put him to death. But if the same crime is committed on somebody else’s wife or daughter you say capital punishment is barbaric. Why should there be double standards?

8. Western society falsely claims to have uplifted womenWestern talk of women’s liberalization is nothing but a disguised form of exploitation of her body, degradation of her soul, and deprivation of her honour. Western society claims to have ‘uplifted’ women. On the contrary it has actually degraded them to the status of concubines, mistresses and society butterflies who are mere tools in the hands of pleasure seekers and sex marketeers, hidden behind the colourful screen of ‘art’ and ‘culture’.

9. USA has one of the highest rates of rape

United States of America is supposed to be one of the most advanced countries of the world. It also has one of the highest rates of rape in any country in the world. According to a FBI report, in the year 1990, every day on an average 1756 cases of rape were committed in U.S.A alone. Later another report said that on an average everyday 1900 cases of rapes are committed in USA. The year was not mentioned. May be it was 1992 or 1993. Consider a scenario where the Islamic hijab is followed in America. Whenever a man looks at a woman and any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind, he lowers his gaze. Every woman wears the Islamic hijab, that is the complete body is covered except the face and the hands upto the wrist. After this if any man commits rape he is given capital punishment. I ask you, in such a scenario, will the rate of rape in America increase, will it remain the same, or will it decrease?

10. Implementation of Islamic Shariah will reduce the rate of rapes

Naturally as soon as Islamic Shariah is implemented positive results will be inevitable. If Islamic Shariah is implemented in any part of the world, whether it is America or Europe, society will breathe easier. Hijab does not degrade a woman but uplifts a woman and protects her modesty and chastity.

Apart from all these reasoning there are numerous Scientific Benefits of wearing Hijab:

Protecting the head is one of the method to prevent heat lost. Results of medical tests show that 40-60% of body heat is lost through the head, so persons wearing head coverings during cold months are protected about fifty-percent more than those who do not.

In Chinese medical texts, in The Yellow Emperor’s Classic on Internal Medicine, it was stated that wind can cause sudden changes within the body and will upset the body’s equilibrium thus, creating bad health.

It was written that common cold are related to wind elements entering the body and causing the typical symptoms of sneezing and a running nose.

In the traditional Islamic medical texts of Al-Jawziyya, numerous references to the "four elements" of fire, water, air and earth and how these affect the body in adverse ways. In particular, we are advised to stay away from drafts and protect our heads in wind, breezes, drafts and cold weather.

Also, for health reasons, protecting the head is even more important in warm weather. V.G. Rocine, a prominent brain research specialist, has found that brain Phosphorus melts at 108 degrees; a temperature that can be easily reached if one stays under the hot sun for any length of time without a head covering. When this happens, irreversible brain damage, memory loss and loss of some brain functions can result. Although this example is extreme, Brain damage can still be measured in small degrees from frequent exposure to and overheating of the head.

Bernard Jensen, a naturopath and chiropractor states that this is because the brain runs on the mineral phosphorus, which is very affected by heat.

And while discussing about health, if we look at the home economic perspectives, Hijab head-covering are required for those working in the food sectors. This is to ensure that cleanliness is maintained to avoid food poisoning.

The worst presidency in the history of the United States = George Bush
The worst vice presidency in the history of the United States = Dick Cheney

Unfortunately neither of them are done with America yet. When and how can we get rid of these two people and stop the destruction of this country?

Keith Olberman who is one of the most vehement opponent of bush had this to say earlier:

"He's been shrill, totally unpatriotic, and sounding more concerned with torture and interrogation than with results and intelligence. ... I think he may believe that only his vision can save American, and thus anything, including lying to America, is justifiable. This is, I believe, called 'a Messiah Complex."

During the Bush/cheney years any critic of their administration was immediately labeled anti-America and unpatriotic. The media went along with that and unabashedly maligned anybody that opposed these two people or any of their cohorts. Now when they are out of power, they have abrogated to themselves the right to do what they denied others. Hypocrisy's other name is cheney.

Cheney said "It's the mindset that concerns me." when talking about the treatment of some of the suspects. How is that different from how Richard Reid was treated during Bush presidency. But the guy at the ABC who is suppose to be big times reporter with many years of journalism under his belt, Jonathan Karl, did not ask this very pertinent question, r asked it in a way that gave him an easy out. Did it just not occur to him at the time or was it just something he was not going to ask. Most likely its the later because enough of these people asking the hard question could have prevented the US going to war with Iraq, would have prevented many other catastrophes during the previous administration. These journalists are tongue tied in front of these politicians or are they protecting their sacred cows?

So the problem, once again, is the media. As long as the media keep giving Dick and George time and space on the air and in print they will never ever run out of words to say to mislead the Amercing people. As long as Media stays away from hard questions they will keep getting away with it. American people, for all their strengths, are more easily mislead than any other people because they want to believe somebody. They want to trust those who they elected, now or in the past. That is a two edged sword. Fortunately, judging by the comments on some news sites (excluding Faux News) people are waking up to the truth. Whether any of that will matter or not, only time will tell.

The hypocrisy should stop with the realization that both george and dick were wrong on Iraq. They have caused to have hundreds of thousands of people killed and instead of being ashamed of it they want others to join them so they are not alone. They want others to fail so they stop looking so bad. The stated policy of Republican fringe is that they hope for Obama to fail which was expressed clearly through their mouthpiece Rush. Nobody from the Republican party criticized that, which essentially indicates they all agreed with him. However, realizing they were wrong and admitting it would take a much bigger men than both of these criminals will ever be.

Here is another curiosity. Anytime Cheney comes on a show he seems to be bashing Bush and his policies while bush was in the office. The purpose is two fold. One, it sets the agenda for the current republican wingnuts in the congress. Second, he is playing the role of a good cop and a bad cop and essentially in the process he is making bush look good. From a historical perspective nobody really cares about the vice presidency. If the bush presidency, compared to some to the policies being implemented today, is making him look good than Cheney benefits indirectly. For him it's a win win situation. That is why even if they have to buy time from the networks they will do that to push their agendas.

If Cheney was Japanese, by about now, with all the proof we have against this guy somebody would he handing him the sword.

Will There Ever Be Justice Anymore

The headline from Reuters talks about Italians opening a case after 447 years to find out the real motives and who was involved in killing a baroness. Amazing. Justice must be served. N matter how late it happens to be. Does not matter if the real culprits are punished. Does not matter how severe the crime was. The logic is that justice must be served.

Is that how long we will have to wait until the crimes committed by our current officials in State Department, CIA and FBI with extra judicial killings around the world can be brought to fore and some modicum of justice served?

How about those committed by IDF and Mossad, latest being the killing of Hamas official while traveling through Dubai? When will we know about them? Or the torture and murder committed by the foot soldiers at the behest of the US war machine and covered up by the officers in Afghanistan. In this case there are so many false reports entered as true and bonafied that the truth may never come out.

How about the ones committed at the US base in Guantanamo Bay. People have died under the watchful eyes of the warden. People have been tortured with video tapes rolling. Will archives ever be made public so the guilty party can acknowledge their crimes? Maybe punished for war crimes. Or maybe we will send some operative to trash those tapes as "unreadable" like they did with the records of George Bush in the National Guard. How convenient was that. It was a good old boy from Texas who probably did not know how to operate the machine to read the records. But he sure knew to trash them before they get in the "wrong" hands.

Four Hundred and forty seven years is a long time. Maybe we can take some comfort with the Medgar Evers case which was solved after more than 50 years. Justice was finally served.

The Obvious Truth People Are Refusing To See

From New York Times to Associated Press to Google, the hypocritical coverage and misleading news headlines is leading us to war with Iran. Last two moths there has hardly been a day that New York Times has not printed a decisively opinionated column telling the nation and the world that its OK to go to war with Iran. The allegiance of New York Times with Iz-ra-eeli lobby is no surprise. New York Times, touted as independent media is THE mouthpiece of AIPAC and rest of the Iz-ra-eeli war machine.

The story does not stop at the headlines though. Many of the articles, opinions, and Op-Ed pieces allow you to leave comments and that is where the real story reside. The vitriol, the venom spewed, and the amount of hatred towards not only Iran but rest of the world that has anything to do with Iran. Surprisingly nobody faults the Russians who actually sold the technology as well as most of the know how on building the reactor. Why? The truth may just come out as to what is the capability of is sold to them.

So the question one must ask: how do they know they were all militants?

One advantage that media has over people at large is that no matter how many comments you leave with hard facts the damage that is done by somebody like New York Times can never be undone. Nobody has the time to call them to account. So the editors know very well that these distortions no matter how egregious are not going to land them in court. The actual war criminals are walking the streets stuffing there pockets let alone the editors of a newspaper being called to account.

People want to see what they WANT to see and hear and believe. We see and hear what matches with what we think is reality. We confirm what we know, expand on what has changed of what we know, and assimilate more of the similar stuff that reinforces what we already know and believe. In a survey of 22,000 people in 21 countries, only politicians ranked as less trustworthy than managers of large companies, who finished behind lawyers and Journalists. The journalists rank very low in the scheme of things when it comes to trustworthiness and ethical standards.
American media gives us 90% of what we want to see and 90% of what we see is handed down to us based on what the media wants us to see. It's very circular. We become what we see and hear. If hatred and bigotry is what we see on TV than that is exactly what we become: hateful and bigoted. If we see xenophobia then that is what we become in our day to day life. That is what media is doing to us. It plays a huge role in what we think, do and how we treat other people around us. Media shapes our lives in more way then we would like to admit.

Fox News
The amount of misinformation coming out of this media outlet is unmatched. If this was a liberal media owned by a foreigner, Rupert Murdoch, the likes of Rush and Glenn will be accusing them of selling out America to foreigners. However no one ever says a word about that since it favors conservatives and it serves their purpose. According to them it's perfect for America.

The true shadow government within the Obama government. Hillary Clinton is suppose to be incharge of it but she has been sidelined from about the second month into her appointment. Beyond that was all Rahm and his henchmen running the foreign policy.

American Enterprise Institute
The neocon hang out of people like Karl Rove and Richard Perle, the prince of Darkness. Even Lynn Cheney has a desk their for allegedly writing books for kids.

Blackwater
Hired mercenaries and thugs with no regard for life whatsoever. They have recently been ordered out of Iraq but it remains to be seen how they are going to be morphed to pull wool over the Iraqi government's eyes. The weak government in Iraq is the obvious advantage Blackwater has. The crimes against the innocent, murder in broad daylight, and bribery from the highest level. What more evidence you need to declare them enemies of state, both in America and abroad. Its all about the networking and who you know in the high places.

Behind the excellence in writing is the ultimate sword of hatred and bigotry. It kills, and kills relentlessly. They have a special section dedicated to inciting unrest in Iran, or so it seems. Even the Iranian clerics have become the darling of news hacks at this establishment. When China kills its own Muslim civilian population in cold blood, according to New York Times its China's "Strongman" protecting the interests of the state. See also our top ten enemies of peace.

With control over 5000+ print media and 1700+ TV stations they have the monopoly over all aspects of any household globally. This is especially true in the west because that is where most of the information that comes out of this premier hatemonger is consumed. Unless you are living in a cave you can not escape from the clutches of this tool of tyranny. The biased and agenda driven drivel coming out of this media conglomerate is unmatched. Rush, Glenn, And The Right Wing Hate Machine
Rush, Glenn, Sean, and O'Rielly are the poster boys of right wing hate machine. However don't forget people like Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Robert Spencer, and the entire staff of FrontPage Magazine that work behind the scenes to convince people in high places that hate is good and freedom is bad; torture is OK and accountability is bad. They are there to argue that banning Hijab and minarets will somehow make us safer and stronger.

The remake of Taking The Pelham 123 was an eye opener. It maligned the two main religions using camera angles and symbols. Hollywood churning out movie after movie with message of hate and desecration of symbols of Christianity and especially those of Islam.

The most recent addition to the arsenal of hate mongering is called "home grown threats." Everybody is a suspect. anybody and everybody can be interrogated without showing just cause.

US Armed Forces
The military industrial complex that we were warned about was no hoax. It has come to fruition long time ago but more so now than ever before. They have been let loose on the world without any accountability. The tyranny they are unleashing on innocent people in far away places is making new enemies for America by the bushel. Why Is The West Afraid Of Nuclear Iran?

It's not what you think.

Why is a nuclear Iran such a huge problem for the west? This question is raised time and again and the answer is always the same. The lie about what the Ayatollah may have said about wiping Israel from the face of the earth which is not entirely a bad idea but its not something to be entertained rather seriously.

That itself is astounding. What you see in the news is reality. What you hear over and over again is reality. If you hear it long enough it becomes the truth and anybody who questions the truth must be crazy. That is the logic behind pushing the lie over and over and again. We have seen that time and again and the lie about what the ayatollah may have said is no exception. Top that with more lies by attributing that lie to the current regime in Iran. Nobody is a fan of the current regime but that is not because they are illegitimate or because we want to question what they want in nuclear know how. What they want is their inalienable right and nobody has any question about that. (except the media of course) The dislike is over the ignorance of how to handle this situation. The colourlessness goes far and wide and plagues the entire middle east. With all the money they have they could buy each and every journalist outright for life. All journalists are for sale, many for a fairly small amount of money. Many just for the opportunity to see their name in print and media. But then again, the leaders of the middle east have no clue how to go about doing that.

coming back to the issue at hand; why is the west so apprehensive about Iran acquiring nuclear know how. Nuclear bombs in Iran are a far cry because first Iran has to perfect the technology for producing, enriching etc. of Uranium. Not an easy task. It will be twenty plus years before they are anywhere close to making indigenous warheads. It took Pakistan years to do that and it required collaboration with many countries including France.

The overwhelming reason why the west is so afraid of any Muslim country getting nuclear know how is because the larger ramifications of technology acquisition and transfer. Of course this is not new technology but there are many other related technologies that come with general know how of nuclear technology. Medical, electrical, energy to name a few. This Independence is what scares the west. After the fall of Ottoman empire there was wholesale destruction of the written proof of advances made in science by Muslim scholars. Today nobody knows the advances made during that time and it is as if we started the world after the WWII and nothing existed before that. Let's look at each region/country separately and how the government and people are oppressed to keep them in check.

The Middle East: Middle East as a region includes major portion of all the Muslim countries. They are by far the most wealthy and well off. However, those, as a result or consequence, are the people least likely to advance in strategic knowledge. Saudi Arabian youths come to the US universities, get educated and go back home. However, the easy availability of cheap labors compels them to rather hire somebody to do the work than do the work themselves. They import people from the subcontinent and have them work at rates they agree or rates that market would bear. There are many American expatriates that go to Saudi Arabia, get paid really well, get housing and other allowances, and do whatever is asked of them. Other countries follow suite. The oil extracted from Middle eastern soil is bought at fraction of its real price, refined to umpteenth other uses and that technology has never passed on because of the agreement clauses and other legal mumbo jumbo.

The Indian Subcontinent: When Brits left India and divided the subcontinent into Pakistan and India, and later Bangladesh the division was such that all the factories, schools, colleges, and major universities remained in place in India. The monuments and the main places for tourist attraction were all part of India. All the major government installations and hubs were in the Indian part of the subcontinent. The rivers flow downstream to Pakistan with control of those rivers in India. At the start Pakistan was saddled with a part of its own that was thousand miles over the hostile Indian territory. All flights had to go around the Indian ocean to bypass Indian airspace. This was a huge strategic disadvantage. Imagine the burden all of that placed on a newly independent country.

Fast forward to the current situation. With all those problems inherited it's no wonder Pakistan is struggling with its economy, literacy, industry, the infrastructure etc. It is struggling against overwhelming odds that were stacked against this country right from the time of its Independence.

Africa: The poorest, the most neglected, and the most exploited continent on the face of the planet earth. From Egypt to Ghana to Zimbabwe, the odds of any country making any substantial progress are minimal at best. For centuries the Gold and Diamonds, the most precious and sought after minerals, are being extracted and the wealth of nations plundered by few large western enterprises who buy influence and never allow their dirty laundry to come out in full view. They have the local politicians on their payroll and nothing can change until all of that wealth is gone. The movie Blood Diamond was a pretty fair expose of what really happens but the core of the matter was dropped by the mainstream media promptly after the buzz about the movie died.

when you talk to anybody they will be happy to tell you and remind you that the change will have to come from inside. They will contend that people must make the change to make their country better. Then they will move to leadership gap. Then finally they will say it's the literacy or the lack thereof that's causing these problems. Although all of these factors must be considered to formulate a policy of change, they neglect to mention the most important factor: The will, the demand, and might of the superpower to keep the status quo. The superpower and its allies must not allow any substantial progress from taking place. Which brings us full circle back to Iranian nuclear issue. The main reason why American politicians through its client state of Israel want to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear know how is to prevent that country, and any other country for that matter, to acquire any sophisticated technology that may lead to Independence from it's hegemony. They know very well that it will be years, probably more like decades for Iran to develop full capability of its own to develop nuclear arsenal. However the perception that is being pushed by the very controlled media is that of imminent danger. The perception that something must be done to stop the Iranians from acquiring nuclear know how right now. It must be done now to stop them from getting handle on the technology.

At the same time name any Muslim country and along comes the list of policies in place to keep them exactly where they were about 100 years ago. There are people in high places whose only job is to make sure no progress is made in any substantial way in any of these countries. The so called think tanks are churning out policy papers that the lawmakers take as Gospel. For example, Pakistan's nuclear arsenal is in danger, not from the likes of Taliban, but from US who would want to force the hands of Pakistani politicians to dismantle it and take the nuclear tips off them. The goal is to de-fang Pakistan, the one Muslim country set to and capable of making most advances in science and technology. Do they not need the nuclear plants to generate electricity? Do they not need the medical technology? Obviously not, according to the think tanks. It will be "provided" for them. It will be given to them when US wants to give it to them. As long as they are good boys and girls and do as US tell them to do we will keep providing them with what they need. One step out of line and all of that stops. Where does that leave Pakistan.

They want Iran to agree to have nuclear fuel processed elsewhere. The same doctrine as the Pakistan doctrine applies to Iran. The real purpose of this demand is to make sure if they stray out of line we will have the strings that can be pulled to bring them back in line. Iran has no choice but to go independent with its nuclear technology. Iran must develop full nuclear cycle on its own. It should conduct all the tests necessary to make sure everything is in place for next generation to take it to the next level. It will not only give them alternative to fast depleting energy sources, and the much needed medical isotopes but it will create new high end jobs, it will create national pride, and it will be good for the middle east. These are the foremost reasons to one other one: the non-proliferation treaty gives them the full rights to do what they have done so far.

The question is: is Iran willing to pay the price that it must to make that happen?

Writing's On The Wall

The advent of democracy in Pakistan has left many without a cause to bash Pakistan. Its not perfect but its as close its going to get for now. In the halls of congress on both sides, the House and the Senate this little advance has many looking for other ways to convince the president that Pakistan remains the rogue state it was before Musharraf was president.

They are finding that reason in the relatively new phenomenon of Pakistani Taliban. Pakistani Taliban did not exist before Afghanistan was attacked by US forces. Who created this problem for Pakistan? Could this have been handled better? Could hundreds of thousands of lives and billions of dollars have been saved if this was approached with diplomacy after the fall of Taliban and Al Kaeda or more precisely soon after a legitimate Afghan government was sworn in?

The answers to those questions is a resounding yes! But was anybody thinking?

When Taliban found themselves pushed back in Afghanistan they adapted to their worsening influence faster than the US war machine. The US war machine was still celebrating and they were looking for an outright victory without realizing what that would require. The most important thing they neglected was the fact that those who were fighting against us had not seen anything but war for last 6-7 generations. They had partners on both sides of the border for centuries plus the intimidation factor. Top that with innate hatred of an occupying force from thousands of miles away regardless of the cause or reason and you have the sure making of an insurgency whose strength can test yours any day. And since most of these people are illiterate because of the ravages of war they have no clue what is democracy and more importantly what to do with it once they have it. Alliances were formed quickly and we have the making of Pakistani Taliban. This gave them base to work from, the sympathy of a thousand and one people, and the cause to fight for yet another day. We created the Pakistani Taliban and now, years later, we are having to deal with it with money and might. Are we getting anywhere fast?

Had we known ABC of what Afghanistan is all about we would have started the negotiations with anybody and everybody right after a legitimate government was formed in Kabul. Until most recently it was legitimate. These are people of Afghanistan. It's their homeland. They must have rights, they must be given a voice in the government, they must be shown some respect as citizens. Isn't that what democracy is all about. The alternative: carpet bomb them, get rid of them and start over again. For that we needed to bring in a ruthless dictator and not democracy. Unfortunately US had nothing but revenge on their mind.

We have come to realization now that diplomacy and negotiations is the only way forward. Was there a single voice of dissent in the lead up to where we are now? If there was one it was muffled so well that nobody could hear it. Being stubborn and stupid, being in the clutches of the war machine that controls Washington, being power drunk for so many years, and being lame duck for last two years of his presidency was no help for Bush to not come up with diplomacy. There is no surprise there.

Although the negotiations are going on, not enough legitimacy is being given to these negotiations. A lower level operative from state department is assigned to look after this issue. The operative is at such a low level that we don't know his/her name. In the meantime we are preparing for an offensive with hundreds of thousands of more Afghan citizens displaced from their homes, pushed out to Pakistan and other places, exacerbating an already acute problem to and emergency.

Americans need to realize that there is no military solution to this problem. Forty thousand, fifty thousand or hundred thousand troops are not going to matter. The victory, if they get any, will be temporary and short lived, a la Iraq. They need to realize that negotiations is the only way to resolve this issue. Pashtun, shias, the Tajiks, the Pathans, and the rest of the ethnicities that make up Afghanistan must be given their rights and representations. Without doing that there will never be a solution and Afghanistan will be the failed state that it is for last 50 or so years.

The Indian power play for the supremacy over Pakistan from both sides needs to be mitigated. This has been an issue that has never been addressed and never been brought to the fore for any discussion. India's hand in the continued destabilization of Afghanistan is something that has been kept muffled and under the cover for last several years. The foothold that Indians want in Afghanistan to be able to checkmate Pakistan is something that is promoted and discussed behind closed doors only at the highest levels within Washington and Delhi. Anybody denying that have absolutely no clue about the reality on the ground. One clue for the uninitiated: look up the number of Indian consulates across Afghanistan. They are not there for no reason.

Once there is negotiated settlement with various ethnicities within Afghanistan the Pakistani Taliban will disappear overnight. Pakistani people are tired of murder and bloodshed. They are tired of uncertainty. They are tired of being blamed for every problem in the sub-continent. They are tired of their politicians raking in money given to them from both sides, the Taliban and Washington. They are tired of seeing the future of their kids blown away by drones and the mercenaries of Blackwater. Pakistani people want the progress they have seen after the opening up of media during the Musharraf years. They want the same luxuries the rest of the world have. They want to do an honest day's work, and spend time with their families. Will America allow that to happen?

Analysis: Picture Worth A Thousand Words

Jimmy Carter knows how not to work the media. He's been out of the limelight ever since his appearance at Brandeis University to talk about his book with controversial comments in his book Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid to aspiring jewish politicians at that ivy league college. The parting shots or lack thereof were dignified though. For others media has been less merciful including their beloved Bush.

During the last days of lame duck 43rd president of the United States some of the expressions were priceless. Of course the Monkey mouth Bush was pretty popular among his detractors. But mostly his picture with a finger pointing in the air, hand gesture that is totally out of place, and other similar photographs started to show up approximately during the last two years of his presidency.

For Obama on the other hand, its little bit of a stretch to see unflattering pictures with finger stretched out or face making the letter O to cheer the crowd up or something like that have started to show up more and more often. So why is that significant you ask.

In the American culture people usually don't talk much with their hands. Italians and some other Europeans do that. Of course Arabs and pretty much all Muslims do talk with their hands slightly less than they do otherwise. Cultures are different and in some places it is acceptable and perfectly normal to use hands and gestures while in others it is not. In America it's considered rather rude to flail your hand and point fingers while talking because everything has a name and when you talk you are expected to be precise by using language instead of gestures. If you want to give somebody direction in Afghanistan you would see people pointing to a direction while they tell you where to go, but not here because you are expected to be more precise. That is why the question: why are these pictures showing up and why now.

Of course media is well aware of this little idiosyncrasy about the hand gestures and they play it to the hilt to their advantage. If you are a careful observer you may have noticed that every time they want to show anybody that they talk negative about they have a pictures with some hand movement in place. Curiously enough what Arab or Muslim politician is there that they don't talk negative about since its their favorite pastime. Pictures of Muqtada-Al-Sadr with his finger in the air is embedded in our psyche. Iranian president always shows up with hands in the air, finger pointing everywhere. Still other times he is shown with hand stretched that looks like he is saluting somebody but its not exactly too becoming or flattering for him.

All of that is part of the propaganda and the media's war against anybody they dislike. But why would anybody dislike Obama. He is charming, dashing, eloquent, and very leaderlike. Yet, so early and so quickly, the charm has worn off?, The eloquence has given way to lingering questions? The leadership is being questioned? He almost split GOP in the middle during the last session with them. If he can do few more of those question/answer sessions maybe it will help change the tone of the pictures that have started to show up lately.

The Gladiator And The Lions - The Lions Must Win

When Obama came to town as the new Sheriff he promised Americans a new deal. A new promise of hope. A new promise of reconciliation with the rest of the world. Not to further a cause of his own but to improve the image of America. He promised to remove the old tyrannical face and replace it with a hand extended out for reconciliation.

The whole thing lasted about 3 months or so and then, maybe he had a meeting with Dick, and it all fell apart. No promise kept, no hope agenda left to talk about, all gone, poof, disappeared in thin air. All we have left is legacy of the tyranny of Bush.

So it's no surprise that when it comes to dealings with Iran on any issue whatsoever the tone of the message is exactly the same as it was during the 8 of the lousiest years in the history of the US. The message is the same as it was then. The message was coming from State Department then and not from the White House. The message is still coming from the State Department and not coming directly from the White House. It's the same song and dance: get down on your knees and kiss our ass and if you don't kiss our ass we will kick your ass.

Reconciliation sheconciliation! We are gearing for one outcome and that is first the sanctions while we get ready, while we pull the wool over the world's eyes, while we grab all the money from Gulf states selling them worthless arms that they don't know how to use, while we lie to the world that we are doing all we can to reach a deal and then when all of that is done to our satisfaction we bomb them after all. It does not matter what they say or do, it does not matter how much they give, it does not matter what amount of their lawful rights they give up in the process, the outcome will remain the same. We have seen that happen to Palestinians too. No matter how much they give in, they have to give more. There is always one more condition they must meet before any single thing can happen. Remember this is the agenda coming from State Department.

It's all reminiscent of the age old game of gladiators vs the lions in the arena of a Roman empire. The king and the king's subjects must see the blood of the gladiator. It's what they have paid for. Gladiator must die. It's the only way they are going to get their money's worth. It's the only way they could lure the subjects back for the next show. It had to be a predetermined outcome, it was blood lust. If a gladiator was too strong they took his weapons away, then they tied his hands, then the blindfolded him. The gladiator must die. History repeats itself.

What Have You Done For Me Lately

What exactly does a country like Pakistan gain from membership in UNO. Of course there are the refugee affairs, program for kids under UNICEF, food distribution, health organizations, help with education, and several other programs that provide money for some UN related efforts in the form of subsidies. However, for country like Pakistan where corruption is rife and nothing happens without first getting the right people paid off, these programs only work to line the pockets of select few. In addition to that just by nature and since nobody has the time to implement them correctly these programs perpetuate and spawn more corruption. The cycle never ends. These programs hardly ever benefit any of the intended recipients. Most of these programs can be replaced by myriad of other organizations and NGOs that can bring in their own people and cut out the corrupt individuals that are stopping the aid from getting to the most deserving.

How about a country like Malaysia? What exactly is the benefit that they are receiving from UN. None that is apparent. They have a reasonably strong and stable economy. Their enemies are few and there is no real threat to it's security, except for the superpowers.

The UNO sanctioned and administered Oil For Food program during the American imposed sanctions on Iraq had the corruption going at the highest level. There were at least 2,200 companies involved in this scheme to bilk 1.8 billion dollars from this humanitarian operation. It takes a lot of planning, a systemic rule breaking, and inherent corrupt practices to combine together people and places to continue to do business for illegitimate gains. Indeed the corruption reached as high as the former French Ambassador to UN, Daimler-Chrysler Corporation, and other highly placed officials from the west to the east. All told, according to the UN report put out after the inquiry headed by Paul Volker the former treasury secretary under Clinton, there were 66 nations involved in this corruption scheme. This is only one example and one that was discovered after more than 8 years of unabated illegal operations.

Is the UN hurting and harming or is it a benign organization for the good of the humanity?
Is it time for many of the smaller and powerless countries to get out of UN?

As it stands UN with its membership of majority of the countries of the word is being used as a tool for destruction and for hegemony of America and its closest allies. Iran's troubles with pressure from UN has been going on for years. The same agency makes the rules and then turn around and break them with impunity to punish whom they please or whom they don't like. Kashmir issue has been lingering for more than 50 years with no solution in sight. Israel has broken more UN resolutions than any other country in the history of the organization but everybody, including the security council turns a blind eye. The people that have been hit the worst are the people that needed this body the most. Unfortunately the only reason UNO exists now is to benefit the superpower and its allies.

It is definitely time for nations, one by one, to leave the UNO. Libya, Iran, Venezuela, Argentina, Pakistan, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia could lead the charge and rest can follow. Once the exodus starts it might just compel some countries, to preserve their own power to allow some concessions, allow some third world countries to be part of the core security council with veto power, and they might thing twice before passing another resolution benefiting the jewish state at the expense of rest of the world.

Anything short of that, and if the status quo remains, the smaller countries must leave UN to break this American hegemony on the security council and to take back the sovereignty of their own country.

What Will They Do Next

As the midterm election gets closer the right wing agenda of fear mongering is shaping up. Would you be really surprised if Karl Rove showed up on your TV in one of the commercials during Super Bowl touting his hears of whatever can get you off you chair and vote for his war party? Not at all. I think they could do it since they do have the money for it and most people will fall for it too.

The latest headlines and with that the pitch is getting feverish:
"“We are concerned that the influence of inspirational figures such as Anwar al-Awlaqi will increasingly motivate individuals toward violent extremism,” Mr. Blair said."

"Blair also separately warned that Al Qaeda or its affiliates overseas was planning a big attack against the US in the next six months."

So what is it that the right wing would not do to get your vote. There is nothing too far fetched. The fear mongering, the hate speech, malignment, and general paranoia. They tried that last time but it did not work. However, planned incidents made to look real like the incident on Christmas days work in the hands of those right wingers. It worked for MA senate seat and it could work again.

The latest arsenal is the "home grown" terrorism threat. It's the one that makes the least sense of all. But one wonders if the threat does not exist than what is the purpose behind creating this paranoia. The simple answer is that coming up with these statements and convincing people is opening up news doors for planning whatever, small or large for the same people that planned the Christmas day fiasco. It was an inside job and the purpose was not to kill anybody, of course, but to scare people off and make Obama and his administration looks weak and ill prepared. It worked.

Look for more of these little incidents in the future.

All satire aside, one must ask what is causing this so called home grown threat? What are the root causes of this problem? Obviously there are people of all color and stripes but what is it that compels a person to indulge in the fantasy of revenge? What is compelling a young man to have those thoughts? The problem is from the inside and not from the outside. The threat and the cause of the threat are both inside.

Imagine this. A young man born in the US, grows up here, goes to local schools, hangs out with local kids. There is some teachings at the elementary level of religion etc. A person like the guy who did the Fort Hood shootings. Growing up people try to assimilate and be part of a social group. Eric Harris knew too well what happens when you are unable to be part of group. When you are bullied to the breaking point. When you are butt of common jokes. That is where the structure that is suppose to hold sustain you breaks down.

It is a known fact that as you get older you become more attuned to your religion. This happens within any religion. But the problem starts when your religion is maligned day in and day out, on the TV, on the Internet, in the print media, in the movies, and everywhere else that you turn around you see your religion put down and stomped upon. The structure breaks down.

That is not all though. In addition to all that you see your country being bombed and your own people getting killed everyday. Inner strife, outside threats, perceived and otherwise alliances, conspiracy theories, lies, propaganda, the misinformation, and the hatred spewed at your country, religion, and many times at you is enough to drive anybody to whatever the next thing that comes along that can make sense of things. In case of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, it was the mayhem and murder they caused at Columbine but for others it could be any number of things.

So one must ask how much are we contributing to this "home-grown threat?" Do you think that the media has a role to play in creating this "home grown threat?" Just look at some of the headlines at it may make the point clearer to you but only if you really want to see it. unfortunately most people don't want to see the reality and take the easy route of blaming the rest of the world, the religion, the cleric, and whole slew of other characters which are really not part of the problem or maybe a very minor part of the problem. They do become a big part of the problem once the process has already started.

Headline: Pakistani scientist found guilty of attempted murder

Our previous article predicted her fate. This was an open and shut case from day one. No matter the weak and non-existent evidence, no matter the disjointed effort from the defense, no matter the jury. This was a case whose outcome was decided long time before anybody set foot in the courtroom

The case was in New York, the city of hate. There is no jury in the entire state of New York that will not convict anybody that has even a shadow or a hint of relationship with terrorism. Right and wrong, guilty and Innocent goes out the window. Nobody will be able to live a day after finding a terrorism suspect not guilty.

The evidence was extremely weak. The bullet holes did not match with the bullets' size and capacity, the prosecution witness has contradicted himself during the testimony, and the judge has shown partiality by barring visitors and other non-sensible things. All the fabricated evidence coming from Afghanistan in the midst of an imposed war was suddenly believable because it serves a purpose. The entire dog and pony show was part of a circus.

Defense was weak and her mental condition did not help her own case. She was never given full access to her defense lawyers. She was tortured in many ways least of which was humiliating strip searches and making mockery of her during the transportation to and from the prison. She had no access to anybody that she could call friend. She should have given the opportunity to recover before put on a show trial. She was a weak woman, a single soul against the tyranny of the entire American justice system. Nobody can win against that when the system does not want you to win and the odds are stacked mile high against you.

Regardless, she was going to be found guilty in New York and not taint its reputation as the city of hate.

They kept her in many prisons throughout all these years but she was strong enough to fend them off and never confessed to anything that she did not do. She was raped and beaten, and one of her kidneys was removed. She was tortured and humiliated. Her kids were taken away from her, they may have even been killed. How can one person suffer so much. How can God let that happen. The wisdom of it escapes all civilized people.

Tonight the scales of justice have tipped, in the wrong direction. Tonight lady justice cries but nobody hears her cries, she sheds tears and nobody can see them. Irony is, knowing that, some people are happy and they ravel in her pain. Tonight America celebrates in the agony of another innocent person's plight and misery not knowing any better.

Smoke Gets In My Eyes

The headlines are making the rounds on all major and mainstream media outlets. Even the New York Times has an article that stayed online the entire day. Not sure what will be its fate tomorrow. This is a major coup for the forces of evil. They have gotten away with murder yet again. How cool is that. The widows and the children of the dead are happy now. Now that they know that some people have been "rebuked." They have been told: Please don't do it again. Avoid it if you can. The fact that its a rare admission makes it all good. Knowing (in)justice is served. The devil, as always is in the details though.

So what this circus amounts to is sweeping the murder of innocent people under the rug. The articles are written by friendly reporters to soften the blow and making it seem like justice is served on a platter and Iz-ra-eel has done great things for the humanity by "reprimanding" couple of low level officers.

Who Is Really Incharge Here?

US has pledged to sell 6.4 billion dollars worth of weapons to Taiwan in a quid-pro-quo to china for muscling Chinese government to agree to sanctions on Iran. While China fumes and makes vieled threats of retaliation there is very little that it can do to prevent this sale from going through. In addition, when the time comes they will also agree to additional sanctions against Iran. This has been going on for sometimes now and this is not a sale that was not anticipated. However there are other policy issues beyond the weapons sale.

Most importantly, this is not one of President Obama's policy but an inside job from the state department. The state department is totally out of Obama's control. Unfortunately Obama does not know the first thing as to what is happenning or what is going to happen when it comes to making or implementing US foreign policy. Obama is being kept occipied with the smaller domestic issues of relatively minor import while the all important and far reaching decisionsa re being made at a different level within and outside the state department. Even Hillary Clinton is out of the loop.

As a backdrop to the foriegn policy running amock, Obama, through his AG should assign a special prosecutor to investigate the hiring/firing policies at the state department. Just like the news business, the movie business, and the jewelery business the hiring and firing at the state department is very much controlled. Who gets hired and gets what assignment is strictly an inside job and only few people know the inner working of hiring process. The hiring process is not transparent. How can you explain the currnte makeup of policy makers, the under secretaries, the foreign operatives, and the rest of the gang at the state department. Who reallyl hires people and what is the process, if any, they follow to provide equal opportunity to all candidates.

Eric holder has been out of the news since he announced his resolve to prosecute those who ordered and facilitated torture at Guantanamo, Abu Gharib and other places. Does he have the appetite to take on more of what State departments is doing behind the President's back? Very unlikely.

Can We Win In Afghanistan?

The answer depends on what we will take for a win. If winning means a stable Afghanistan in the image of America then go ahead and dream on. If you think that winning means leaving a reasonably stable country with some modicum of government that can defend itself and make alliances with opposition then there is some hope.

Winning outright would require us to send thousands upon thousands of soldiers. We are talking about in tune of half a million soldiers. We we even have that many soldiers? It would mean wiping off huge population of Afghanistan. It would mean wholesale massacre like what we did to the native Americans.

Allowing for alliances to form we have to recognize people for what they are. We are not capable to doing that. When you are the president of the United States and you see the floating city we call air craft carrier, and then he finds out we have several of those it can get to his/her head real quick. We have the best of everything. An air force that has no equal in the skies. All of these things are good to make you power drunk. Its easy then to want outright victory even at the expense of wiping out half the population of any given country because you think you can, because you can not think of any challenges in your way, you can not think of anything to stop you from doing that.

Allowing for Alliances is the only way to go if we are going to come out ahead in Afghanistan. One man's terrorist is another person's hero. Think what you will but you will have to come to terms with that reality. There is nothing wrong with negotiating with anybody who wants to make peace. Currently America is perceived to be on the run. As long as that perception does not change the enemy will continue to fight back, a low level insurgency. But look at what its doing to us. Billions of dollars gone in the air, with more billions required just to sustain and keep the status quo. The Indigent Afghainis are not going anywhere. They can't go anywhere. They are all on the watch list and nobody to get them on board like the well connected Nigerian guy!

Sooner we allow for alliances to be made sooner we can put this fiasco behind us.

You have been entrusted with the integrity of your country, most of whose people are civilized and educated people. You have access to exact information as to what is going on at the street level in your country and around the world. You know that you have just seen the largest street protest organized in the history of the country, both in number of protesters and the intensity of the protests.

You have one of the country you call your friend who is part of your military alliance opposing you with all its might. You have people at highest places from a friendly country opposing your views. You have people from all around the world opposing your view. You have people that have always agreed with you in the past but diagreeing with you now.

Most importantly you have lives of thousands of people in the balance, you have sovreighnty of a country in the balance, and you have your own experts telling the whole world you are wrong.
Despite all of these things you go ahead with one of the most stupid decisions of your political career? Is it just stupidity or an agenda.

Tony is stupid or still towing an agenda. The Chilcot inquiry is not only a judgement on Tony but it is also a verdict on George and Dick.

Today Tony is claiming stupidity and ignorance to prove himself right. Just Skip The Headlines

They are all lies and misinformation

I have been doing some non-scientific research lately. On my own. No mega funding, no celebrity endorsements, no big time media moguls involved in the process. That could be good or bad. First the bad part. I will not get the notoriety that my research deserves. I will not get famous for doing this research. I will not be called by NPR or the likes of them for a feature show. It will just sit there for anybody who just happens to pass by my post. Just a chance lookup of the "next blog."

Now the good part. It will be fair; as fair as it can be with one person’s opinion. There will be no spin other than my own. In today’s media for me those are invaluable traits. Those things do not exist anywhere, no exception. Let me repeat that: no exception. Are you getting my point yet.
The premise is simple. At for now once a day, usually in the morning after I wake up with cheap coffee and morning rituals I log on to the computer and look at the news. I have selected four news sites. Two (they call themselves) independent and two news aggregators as follow:

news.yahoo.com
news.google.com

I look at the headlines and take screen shots. Just the headlines and the little blurb attached to each headline in the case of the news aggregators. No detailed article listing for who knows what slander lurks inside. Sometimes, depending on how busy the site is I may take two screen shots of the same site by scrolling down to get additional headlines and topics of interest. If I did not do that I believe that the outcome will be more non-scientific than it has to be.
I have started the process since the beginning of the year. I have the screen shots of everyday for all four sites.

Can you guess the rest of my article? If you don’t want to guess or maybe you are eager to get my spin and if so then please read on. Otherwise I know you have better things to do.
The story broke on Christmas day. How timely is that. People are off work, they have all the time in the world to surf the web. They are feeling somewhat religious, but definitely more than other time. And wham bham!!!! Some guy wants to blow up a plane. It could not have happened at more opportune time, now could it? It’s a boon for the news media, match made in heaven. Any other clichés I can use. I’ll spare you.

The results of my non-scientific research so far:

Everyday without fail, the top of the news is nothing but more bad news, related stories that rehashed, the stories that are made up to look new. Lies, lies, and more lies.

The word on the street is that this guy tried to get on the plane without a passport. He was successful in doing so from one port to another, then board the plane once more, without the passport and head to Detroit. Really? So is it security failure or a planned activity.
His father tells CIA his son is mixed up in things he should not be and nobody takes notice. Was that by design or just an overlook on the part of the CIA. What transpired at the terminal to bypass all the checks. Once again one is forced to conclude that there might be some collusion on the part of some inside people to get this guy on the plane.

The timing, the circumstance, the details. I for one don’t believe any of this. But the aftermath is equally disturbing. It’s the relentless crusade on anything Islamic, anybody Muslim, anything and anybody from Muslim world. All part of the plan. In the meantime the Patriot Act was up for renewal at the start of the year. There were concerned senators that had made the case to make amends for many wrongs that were perpetrated by previous administration. I have yet to see any debate on that issue. It’s a real issue that is of concern and should be of concern to ordinary citizen.

There was the promise of closing the notorious torture heaven called Guantanamo Bay, USA, prison. I saw a news article specifically talking about people being released from Guantanamo Bay and involved in terror activities. The article had no names, no references, no specifics. It was a made for news article from Associated Press to convey a point. No debate is going on regarding that promise. This was a promise because of which many voters went to polls and voted for democrats. Yesterday the promised deadline passed without any serious action or lack therof and any serious consequences. There were no articles in the New York Times, nothing on the CNN, no mention of this in the first State Of The Union speech last night. There are approximately half of the detainees approved to be sent to their home countries but no real dates set for them to be realeased. Any little thing can delay the whole process of overdue justicebeing served.

The wholesale derailment and hijacking of Obama’s entire agenda (read our earlier article) is a foot note because news media is too busy concocting stories on how Muslims are out to get America, left, right, and center.

For an ordinary person it's difficult to tell what is the truth and where the lies begin. It's one thing if the facts are presented as they may be. Good, bad, or ugly. The problem lies when there is the spin from the sources that are suppose to give you the facts. Most people do not have the time to dig the truth and so whatever is displayed on the screen becomes the truth. Therein lies the great rewards for the media. When a dog is rewarded for barking, it continues to do so; it increases its barking for more food and more treats.

Opinion: Advantures Of Ms P

Some years ago I came across somebody who, for the sake of brevity and confidentiality, we would call Ms P. She had a nice personality, she was great to look at, a nice body to spare, and for most part she was easy to get along with. Or so I thought. At times I thought she was bipolar.

We were doing video projects together, projects that we thought was going to one day make us world famous. We got along superbly. Maybe it was too good to be true and I should have gotten a clue early on. We got together to work on these project and since there were other people involved in the process, they began to think we were an item. Unbeknownst to me she actually thought we could be an item. Long story short, we met many times over the course of 6 or so months and one thing led to another and before I know it she convinced me that all I really wanted to do was to get on with her. Yes, like any man’s man I dreamed of her, thought of her, and even made love to her without her being there. Eventually it did happen which is where the story really begins. Or perhaps it’s where it ends.

One day we were chilling and she told me she was going to get something to drink. This should have been my first clue. But unfortunately not for me. I had to learn the hard way. All she wanted to get for drink was hot water. Hot water? That was the first time I had ever seen anybody take water, heat it up in the microwave and sip it like a cup of coffee. It took me years to get over that one. I am still not quite over that one.

Next came one of the projects. We lived this morbid project for many months and granted there were many many interesting moments but the stigma of the whole project was something similar to an actor being cast in the first role and the possibility of it staying with that type of role for his/her entire career. The project was about Suicide prevention and how these two women were part of the American Suicide Prevention Association etc. etc. It was downhill from there.
The next project came along and it was about the Bundt. Is that how you say it? Well it was about the Nazi chasing the jews all over the world and how these people had ended up in, of all places somewhere in CT. That is when I had to put a stop to the morbidity of the whole thing. No more projects.

Unfortunately, or otherwise, in the meantime we have developed a certain type of friendship and we have gotten into a routine of things like sex, dinners, conversations, going places together, and just being pals. During all this time we would come up with things to talk about but invariably the conversation somehow would always turn to, of all subjects, the age old topic that gets renewed every five seconds, of none other than the Holocaust. Holocaust Shmolocaust. There, I have said it! I have been waiting to say that for ever and ever. So I did some research and I found a whole industry around this one subject that is embedded in the psyche of all jews the world over. It seems like the first words any newborn jew hears is to remember holocaust. Then the entire life is set on a path of morbidity and victim mentality. Normally I would have no issue with any particular subject, morbid or otherwise, but this was different.

So the idea of living this holocaust thing over and over and over and making this a major part of one’s life was intriguing. Of course there are events around this that would surely not go away in my life time. The museums in every major or non-major city of US depicting the horrors of holocaust over and over are an industry unto themselves. Worse things have happened in the history of the world, both in magnitude and importance. One would ask why is that such a problem? The problem is with this victim mentality and the web that is woven around that victim mentality. It seems like the entire world is being held hostage to this phenomenon and lives are being lost in the process. Irony of all ironies: holocaust is, in and of itself, justification for countless killings and murder. Imagine that. Holocaust and its countless memoriam that go on in some form of fashion just about every day should be a lesson to not perpetrate the same atrocities on anybody else. It should be the lessons learned on how to protect life. It could have been the event to end all wars. On the contrary, countless people have died in the name of security for the jews murdered by the jews themselves. I heard this many years ago when I had no clue what holocaust was all about. Somebody told me Hitler was a bad man and asked why and he said because he killed all the good jews. Thinking back and looking at the current events that rings so very true.

One can do whatever they like with their life. That’s their prerogative. They can live in morbid curiosity of the holocaust, create monuments for the dead, and collect money to do whatever they want in the name of holocaust, and the list goes on. Yet, here is the worst that has happened due to this obsession with holocaust and the industry around it. America has been hijacked. American values have been hijacked. The one country that was supposed to stand for truth and justice for all people of the world is no more. This is by all accounts the worst tragedy in the history of the world. In the name of holocaust they are denying life and liberty to millions. In the name of holocaust they are killing and murdering people without giving life a second thought. In the name of holocaust they raise money and buy politicians to continue with the killing and murdering. America and Americans stand silent and let these people commit these atrocities without giving it a second thought, without realizing the impact its having on what it is to be American. We are devaluing the country and its values in the eyes of the world and as such there is not one country left that would defend the tyranny anymore.

One thing that have always been amazing is the lack of apathy when it comes to any issue related to Muslim women. One of these is the issue of Hijab. What we hear all the time in the news media is the anti-hijab bias. What is even more interesting is that nobody ever, ever asks a woman the simple question: Why does she wear hijab.

This is a series or articles with that question posed to random women who were seen wearing hijab. Why does she wear hijab. Here is one post verbatim. There are no changes made from the original response. The goal here is to present multiple responses over period of time and as the entries trickle in they will be presented with minimal change. Any change will be strictly for the purpose of brevity and/or severe grammatical problems. (if any)

This is a beautifully written response and I found it to be genuine and representative of thousands of women that practice wearing Hijab despite the hatred and negative connotation attached to it. I started wearing the Islamic headscarf --the "hijab," as it's transliterated from Arabic-- about a year and a half ago, as an act of modesty for my religion, Islam. The hijab is a symbol of modesty. Women have complained that they would rather be appreciated for reasons other than their physical appearance; Islam has a solution for that: modesty. The hijab is not directly mandated by Islam; it's merely choice. In the Qur'an, it is stated that no Islamic belief should be forced on an individual. The hijab does not make women inferior; it's a solution for women who want their minds to be stronger than their appearance. The head scarf wasn't even something new introduced by Islam. You're forgetting that, a few centuries ago, women covered their heads when they went outside. True, in this day and age, common people don't cover their heads anymore. In Islam, if something is hard to do, you don't have to do it. If a woman feels inferior wearing the headscarf, or has been assaulted for it, they don't have to wear it. By wearing the hijab you're not succumbing to anything except God's teaching; in fact, when wearing the hijab, you're not succumbing to the desire to show off yourself to everybody. The way I see it, men don't have to show off their looks to get things they want, but some women do. In that case, whose inferior there? The hijab is not a foreign influence. You've probably seen several Americans wearing the headscarf too; they just look Arab (I know this for sure, since my uncle married an American woman who wears the hijab now; she is often mistaken for an Arab).

I was born and raised in the United States, and almost none of my relatives --even the ones who live in Pakistan-- wear the hijab, apart from my mother, who actually started wearing it when she came the U.S. thirty years ago. None of my relatives really supported my decision to wear the headscarf. My own parents were almost shocked when I started wearing it. They've constantly reminded me that I don't have to do it. Even though they're happy with it, they think --and in this case, I hope they're wrong-- that I might stop in a few years. They know it's probably hard to wear it in America, but honestly it hasn't been that hard. I've been able to talk to people as easily as before. It's like I get to choose who to speak to now; most people who approach me are open-minded, kind, and non-judgmental: the type of people I'd like to be friends with. Generally, people don't initially approach me as often as before, but now I get to choose who approaches me by talking with them first. I do get glared at by strangers sometimes, and most people don't look at me in the eye anymore. However, I know they've been ill-informed by the media. Sometimes I do feel a pressure to always do the right thing. If I'm not constantly behaved at all times, or if I accidentally say something rude or offensive, there are people who would have a bad impression of Muslims because they saw one who wasn't perfect. After all, they have a bad impression from the "Muslims" they see on TV who do explicitly forbidden things. Extremism is forbidden in Islam...but that's another topic. The constant, reasonably good behavior has made me, undeniably, a much better person.

The hijab isn't a sign of extremism; it's really just an item of clothing to put, but on your head. And by the way, I've never, ever heard of someone getting heat stroke because of wearing the hijab (though if you get to that state, you really should take it off). In Saudi Arabia, men also cover their head to keep them safe from heat when they go out, and Saudi Arabia is mostly desert. Wearing the hijab does not signify extremism. Islam doesn't call for women who wear the hijab to necessarily be as religious or even as modest as nuns are. True, there are ways to be modest and restrain themselves from wrong things without wearing the headscarf, and I commend people who can do that. For me, the hijab is a reminder to act appropriately, and it's definitely saved me from making many wrong decisions I would definitely regret. I don't mind others --my friends included-- being immodest or immoral, because I would have been like that if I didn't really know about Islam. Every person I meet who treats me with respect --like a normal person-- surprises me, because I generally expect people to have the bad image of Muslims that the media and extreme "Islamic" groups feed them. Neither do I have any deference for people who glare at me, because I know they don't really know what I --and other Muslims-- believe in. And I know, that if I wasn't Muslim, I would probably treat Muslims like they do.

Bin Laden Spotted at Pentagon?

Bin Laden is alive and well, chilling in the basement of Pentagon in Langley Virginia. His room number is B3-S55A3-c. That, for you Pentagon newbies, is located in Basement 3, South Wing 55, Office Type is A which means top security clearance is required, and 3 is the size of the office, being a medium sized office. the "-c" is for no cameras allowed under any circumstances, regardless of the security clearance. Amazingly enough though, this is the same room where one of the clandestine Audio-Visual lab is located. Coincidence? Hardly.

When Bin Laden first came on the scence his tape recording was heard on many TV stations. These were feeds from Al-Jazeera. You remember Al-Jazeera, the friendly network that provided lots of propaganda material after the 9/11 fiasco. Truth remains murky at best. It's the same TV station that later tried to start an English broadcasting service but that effort went nowhere because no American cable company would carry their broadcast. Certainly not because it was not going to be profitable. The word is that the directives not to carry Al-Jazeera came directly from the top, from people like George and Dick. They could not agree on how much they can control on what goes in and what stays out. The people at Al-Jazeera would not relinquish that control over to the same set of people that determine what goes in or stays out at Associated press. Rest is history.

Back to Bin Laden tapes. The voice on the recording was distinct and one that was authenticated at the behest of CIA. As events unfolded and Bin Laden's presence became more scarce the voice on the recording changed. Changed about 180 degrees if there is a measure like that for voice. The change was apparent to layperson, but only those who actually paid any attention. Therein lies the problem. The ordinary viewer of the six o'clock news have absolutely no clue and does not care if the voice is same or different. How many of them even remember the airing of Bin Laden's voice few days after 9/11 and any subsequent airing of the purported tapes that pop up at the most convenient times? Can any of those viewers tell where Afghanistan is on the map. Do they know which continent England is located in? Do they know who is the senator from their state? Clueless people being fed lies and agenda of hatred and then given the potent weapon of a vote. That is a dangerous combination.

Bin Laden will never die. Not as long as this so called war on terrorism continues and is in the interst of US for it to continue. He will never die as long as the funding of the lab at B3-S55A3-c can be secured. There are very little doubts that the funding will stop anytime soon.

They just got done with the Golden Globe Awards. Here comes the Screen Guild Awards. This all in anticipation of the big awards: The Oscars which will be sometimes in March. Lot of kissing A$$ going on within an industry that keeps everything on the inside. The whole movie industry is insidious and feeds on its own. Hundred years and the same set of people are making millions without having to pay a dime in taxes. Ever heard of any movie making any money other than what it takes in at the box office?

Have you ever wondered what are all those names that you see rolling by at the start of any movie. Yes, they are a ponzi scheme to keep the profits on the inside. The age old cliche: You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. From the accountants to distribution to delivery and transportation, all done by the people on the inside. How did Slum dog millionaire won any awards last year is anybody's guess. Perhaps it's just as well so that they can have at least one example to show any critic. Just one.

Last 50 or so years have seen one holocaust related movie after another win the awards of one kind or another. If its not about something j3wish then it will not win the award. Casablanca to modern day Reader, all are prime examples of a sure formula for winning at the Oscars.

India is putting air marshals on their flights. So where is the CIA and FBI going to strike next? That is any body's guess at this point but nobody will be too surprised if something was to happen in next few weeks.

Of course the midterm elections are coming and Republicans candidates are going to need all the help they can get from FBI and CIA. Remember both of these agencies are still under the spell of old George era holdouts. Also towards the end of his presidency George planted moles inside these agencies to create the affect the shadow government.

Everyday passes by and the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui gets little more complicated. You can get all the details of her case here and you have to do lot more research and diligent work to know the real story and that is where most of the interest lies.

From all the stories swirling around, some made up, others only half truth because nobody has been able to talk to one person that may know the whole truth, and that is Aafia Siddiqui. Those who have talked to her are only interested in making up what serves them to whatever end they are working on.

So where does that leave ordinary citizen that might be interested in the truth? The truth may never come out because there are too many people that don't want the truth to come out. There are too many people that want to make hay at the expense of this one woman.

The long awaited trial of this woman who has gone through hell and back many times over is underway in New York. Read our article When Circus came to town. The trial is being controlled and manipulated on the outset. Judge Berman, the presiding judge has ordered to have a metal detector installed in his court. That part is understood. What is much worse is that you have to not only show ID (which is also OK) but you have to have your address and other information recorded before you are allowed in the court gallery to be part of the proceedings.

This requirement has the desired affect. The courtroom was full the first day of the trial but hardly anybody showed up on the second or the third day. This is tragedy because as a human being the woman needs all the support she can get. Besides the dehumanizing strip searches while the guards snicker and have jolly good time with anal probing etc. this woman has not been allowed to see any of her immediate family members, and nobody else is allowed to visit her, lest any part of truth may come out.

This is an open and shut case. The glaring contradictions in testimony will be overlooked and she will be sentenced to 100+ years to life in some prison for something that can never be proved definitively.

Obama's First Year

Obama's first year in the office is turning out to be a huge disappointment. The wingnuts are celebrating and dancing in the streets while full of glee. Some of the democrats are stunned, others are cautiously optimistic that it may just wake some people up from their slumber and maybe, just maybe, things will get better for the long run. The real losers however are the American people. They know what they voted for. They also know that it was possible for Obama to deliver on the promise. But most of all, they know that its the collusion of media and a small but vocal minority that has hijacked Obama's agenda. However, the problem is most of these people are totally helpless when it comes to the influence of the media over the politicians. Most of them don't even understand it. Majority of them don't know where to start on tackling the problem. With all the blogs and all the twittering you would think people would actually have some power that is brutally usurped by the big media. Not so. The control remains with the big boys and they are not about to relinquish it anytime soon.

So what exactly is it that Obama needs to do to get his presidency back. He still has time but it's running out on him fast. He has few options if he stays the course. The changes have to be swift and decisive. He must take action before he gets to the point of no return. A point of no return is beyond the mid-term elections. If no drastic measures are taken to save this sinking ship it will be too late and he will be a lame duck long before his time.

He must stop pandering to the fear mongers. The Christmas day airline fiasco was a planned event. It was orchestrated at very high levels of several governments. Delta Airlines was a willing player. Obama must stop the fear mongering tactics implemented by the remnants of the previous administrations. The FBI, the CIA, and the DHS, all have people that are staunch supporters of George and Dick. They would still do anything for their old bosses, including orchestrating a spectacular show of force on Christmas day. Keep in mind many of these people don't celebrate Christmas so they have all the time in the world to plan something like this.

Obama must replace his chief of Staff. The current occupant of that office is an old hand at back stabbing and he is a snake, and no less. The nature of snake is to bite, friend or a foe. It's the nature of the snake and can not help it. This guy has no loyalty to America. As long as Obama has him as his chief of staff he will not be able to accomplish anything. On top of that, the blame of everything and anything will fall on Obama regardless of the actors involved. That is how the current chief of staff's training is. We all know where he got his training. The buck stops at Obama and nobody else will take any responsibility. Nobody has to because it's a setup. Its an exit strategy. Do you know who our Secretary of State is? Nobody seems to know that. The American foreign policy is currently outsourced like millions of our jobs, manufacturing, and everything else. Obama should take the reigns of foreign policy in his own hands and do some of the things that he promised during several of his speeches.

He must treat friends as friends. At this time we have no friends on account of the fact that our foreign policy has not changed from where it was a year ago. The thuggery, at the hands of under secretaries at the state department, continues. The hope of change that many people across the globe saw and hoped for based on the campaign promises is dissipating fast. People across the globe are realizing that George and Dick are still running the country. The ill conceived war on terror continues. Guantanamo bay prison is flourishing, Bagram is as torturous as ever. Looting of Iraqi oil continues. People that have committed heinous crimes, war crimes, are getting away on technicalities. US treasury is being looted in the name of bailout. There is no transparency anywhere.

The false reporting of rosy economic situation must stop now. The truth comes out sooner or later, usually the following day. Jobs, better pay, stability of the stock market, improvement in the housing market, availability of credit for businesses and for buying houses are some of the things people look at. The proof is in the pudding. When people are getting fired at the same rate others are getting hired, albeit at lower pay rates, the change people want to see is not forthcoming and so nothing is going to change. Perception is reality for most. Americans are stupid when it comes to foreign policy but not when it comes to their own pockets and prosperity.

Stop the expansion of wars. Yemen is a threat created to checkmate Saudis. For what reason, is beyond anybody's guess. The sophisticated weaponry the rebels have is not coming from Iran. Iran does not have those kinds of weapons to export. In addition currently their hands are tied up with problems at home mostly of their own making. Whatever happened to all the training and weapons that Saudis bought and paid premium price for? Whatever happened to the tactical support the "allies" were going to provide to Saudi government in case they needed it.

Sooner some or all of these measures are put in place sooner there is a chance of recovery for Obama's presidency.

When the news first came about him traveling without a passport nobody had seemed to believe that. However, this has been confimed now from more than one source that he traveled 2 segments without a passport. Do you think there was somebody much bigger than you and me behind wanting him on that one particular flight on a specific day?

Is Your Church Or Synagogue Teaching You Hatred And Bigotry

God of all religions teaches love for all mankind. At least that is what we are told over and over when you meet with any religious person. They tell you God teaches love and forgiveness, kindness and humility. They tell you their God teaches to be good to your fellow human beings and practice tolerance for trespasses of others. But then where is all the hatred coming from. What about the guy who thinks he is Godly. The guy on the pulpit who has people's ears at least once a week? Can they be teaching us things we should not be learning at the church or synagogue.

How about you? Have you paid real close attention to what is being said in churches and synagogues across the country and how it's being said? What is the real message. Is it us vs them? Is it our religion is the only righteous religion? Is it that they are telling you that problems happen as an indicator of wrath of God to those who disobey? Are the interpretation of holy books too literal? Are you subliminally being taught that we must cleanse our cities of people that don't belong with us? Is your religion asking you that you will not achieve godliness as long as there is single person of another faith among you? Are they asking you to take revenge?

Perhaps it's time to look for an alternative. Perhaps it's time to reconsider. Perhaps it's time to tell them enough is enough. Perhaps it's time to ask them where is the love and kindness, the tolerance and humility. Perhaps it's time to ask them which God exactly are they asking us to follow after all. Perhaps its time to ask them is their God really all about love as they claim?

When The Circus Came To Town

OJ Simpson needs no introduction. Remember him, the guy who almost got away. Or so they think. The one who had the trial of the century. The hype about his trial was deafening before, during, and after the trial of the century. Good thing the century ended shortly after that. No more competition. He carries the dubious title forever now. Nothing can change that.

We have another trial brewing. In magnitude and importance this could easily rival all the trials and tribulation of OJ Simpson. This is the trial of Khalid Shaikh Mohammad. Will he get the notoriety of OJ Simpson? Will the media line up to give us the down and dirty details? Will the glove fit this time? Will he get a fair trial? That last question is perhaps the most important of all the questions. But it's a question that nobody is asking. Nobody is even concerned if he gets a fair trial or not. Nobody is concerned if justice will prevail or not. Nobody is concerned if at the end of the day the rule of law will be upheld. Why? Because this is an open and shut case. Whether he gets a fair trial or not, whether we know the confessions are coerced and extracted under torture, whether we know that it's taking place in the city of hate... none of that matters anymore. After so many years, after bungled attempts to capture some of the more important people linked to 9/11, we finally have a small fish we think is a big fish. We finally have somebody that we can point a finger at, give him the death penalty, see him die, and finally, at least try to, put closure to a wound that has been kept open for all these years.

This is the year when circus came to town.

Media will have a field day. All the TV channels are overjoyed, they will do the street interviews with the ordinary citizen. A chance for ordinary citizen to bash Muslims and Islam all in one or two sentences, a quick take. They will do a thousand interviews and present the one who can bash Islam and Muslims the best. The talking heads will get no rest. C-SPAN will bring in experts from Foreign Policy journal. Yes the home of Bernard Lewis, and Samuel Huntington. The pundits will be out of breath and may even need extra oxygen after they are done with their punditry. The Lion Tamers at Fox will crack the whip harder than ever. The applause will be deafening, the applause will be applauded.

The newspapers will have Christmas in whatever month the trial will happen. Going to circus during Christmas. Double the pleasure; although not if you are Jewish. But it would be a good opportunity to create an equivalent of Christmas in July theme. Sure, why not. Articles, opinions, pictures, cartoons. Oh how the information will flow. Sales of the century after years of lackluster subscription and advertising revenues. Front page, second page, last page... no space will be spared to bring the details to the masses. Artists will render the images in the courtroom; blood red will be the theme just to create the right mood. Interviews with Dick and George, the highly paid goons of democracy, is a given and the questions are being prepared even now, going around in the heads of the talking heads, over and over, just to get the right wording.

Blogs will be abuzz. People coming out of the woodwork, claiming to be experts in Koran, quoting verse after verse of disjointed meaning, meaning taken out of context, just to prove their bias, prove their ignorance, prove that they hate Islam and Muslim the most. No shortage of opinions from wannabe bloggers, wannabe newsmen, wannabe everything. Deep rooted hatred will come out and people will sit in front of their computers for hours replying to replies and the replies to replies proving they know it all and that they have more hatred then the rest of us. Euphoria will be hard to contain.

Even the university professors, those in the journalism, Law/justice, political science, history sing in chorus for all the nitty gritty details of the trial.

Are we getting their.... to make this the trial of the new century. Will judge Ito be relinquished once again, but reinstated at the last minute. The trial of the yet another century must continue, the truth must come out. Yes, the truth coerced and extracted under torture. Dick is proud.

Would You Buy This Piece Of Crap

The buzz is gettingh louder. Maybe Tata industries is buying up advertising in car magazine like crazy. maybe they are giving away this heap of Junk for free. Just remember Yugo.

Granted that I have not driven one, nor sat in any, and neither have I ever looked at one up close. All that might just as well be for good. Do I really want to endanger myself.

The car is being sold as the cheapest car on the market. So far that is. Once its brought up to American safety standards the car will cost additional $2000-$2500 making the car as much as $10,000 to $10,500 before the destination charges etc. which could, after all told, bring the price to about $12,000-$13000. So why exactly am I buying this crap. The inside is said to be spartan, whatever that means. And take a look on the outside. Not exactly the car for the first date I might say. Why not buy a slightly used car, strike a good deal with the salesman, and be kind to your date. Maybe she will have a softer seat to plop her ass.

The killing of people, land disputes, land grab by IDF, border friction with all its neighbors, humiliations at the UN, the barbed attack on world leaders, and untold toxification of the political landscape.

Through all of this turmoil America as a nation has supported I$rael. We have supported I$rael unconditionally without reservations.

Have you ever stopped and reflected upon the cost that America as a country is paying for supporting I$rael?

When it comes to Human Rights abuses I$rael stands apart. The rights of millions of people are being taken away at the hands of one of the most oppressive regime in the Middle East. The oppressors are I$raelis, the country that we support for committing hundred and thousands of atrocities every day. How so? Please consider this:

New born babies to Palestinian Arabs and those living in Jerusalem are not automatically granted I$raeli citizenship. As soon as they are born they become illegal residents through no fault of their own. The citizenship of parents does not matter. Even if the parents have I$raeli citizenship thier kids do not get I$raeli citizenship. They are stateless people forced out of their country of birth, the country of their parents
People that have lived in Jerusalem for more than 50 years and outright own the land/dwellings are being evicted from their homes forcefully to make way for other development as lofty as public parks while these people have no where to go
The deportation of Arab-I$raelis continues every day. Only few years ago there were 450,000 Arabs in East Jerusalem, now there are only 250,000 remaining. This is through the stated policy of ethnic cleansing and it continues at the behest of I$raeli government, supported by the state controlled judiciary, and funded by Jewish owned and controlled corporations that are based around the world, mainly in US, Britain and South Africa
Targeted killing of civilians and religious leaders, also part of the ethnic cleansing, continues under the watchful eyes of the world community in the disguise of fighting terrorism
Human Organ trafficking is a widespread problem committed at the hands of I$raeli doctors, medical personnel and the IDF. People that are captured for any reason are liable to have their kidney and other organs removed, without consent, and the dead are harvested for organs and these organs are trafficked around the world to the highest bidder
Kids as young as 5 years old are in state custody for supporting "terrorism." These kids are used as ransom to capture other members of the family
Underage kids are being kept incommunicado, in solitary confinements, and without the benefits of visitation rights from family and loved ones. Many of these kids are kept under arrest without them knowing what they are being held for in prison. Many end up dead by what is now known as "Palestinian hanging" which happens when you are hung by chains with your arms behind your back, causing them to come out of their sockets, and killing because of the internal blood clots that eventually make their way to the heart causing seizure and heart attack
Women and girls are raped and tortured as material witnesses
Land with Olive groves and animals are torched on regular basis to prevent anybody coming too close to the border area
I$raeli forces have used illegal ammunitions, prohibited by Geneva convention, against civilian population
I$raeli defense forces have killed civilians without provocation, and in cold blood. They have killed unarmed civilians including infants, children, young girls, and women
I$rael has directly attacked designated shelter areas, hospitals, and places of worship
I$rael has bombarded UN missions that are clearly marked and for which the location coordinates were provided to I$raeli forces and civilian management

How long must all this continue? How long must we continue to support this tragedy?

What are the costs of all this human tragedy to the US? We are having to protect the murderous government of I$rael every step of the way. When we turn a blind eye to these atrocities we are telling the world that it is OK for others to do the same. When we turn the other cheek we are unable to face up to anybody else in the world and ask them to obey the rule of law. Every time we tell somebody to respect life and obey rule of law they point to our unabated support of I$rael. That shuts us down. We are unable to hold China responsible for their human rights abuses. We are unable to tell the Russians they are not to engage in extra judicial killings. We are unable to hold those responsible who caused genocide in Darfur.

Political decent is not anti-Semitism. It is in fact almost a crime not to speak up. In fact those who don’t speak up or don’t take action against the I$raeli atrocities around the world are equally complicit in the crimes committed against humanity. They are equally complicit of ethnic cleansing at the behest of I$raeli government. They have blood on their hands.

When we support I$rael we weaken America. We do irreparable damage to our country. We essentially tell people of the world we don’t support justice, we don’t support human rights, we allow the tyranny to prevail against the weak even though the weak party is in the right. It weakens America by having to defend bloodshed of the innocent, the taking of land by the oppressors, and waging war against civilians and the unarmed.

Please don’t stand still shocked at these atrocities because the time for action is now. Time for action has come. Please help stop these killings, ethnic cleansing, war against innocent civilians, land grab, and forced removal of people from their homes and homeland. Here is how you can help:

Tell them you will not support I$rael and I$raelis without holding them responsible for their actions. Tell them that fighting for freedom, self determination, and democracy does not make anybody a terrorist

Support those organizations that are doing legitimate work to prevent untold human catastrophe in the Palestinian occupied territories including Gaza.

We need your help. We need everybody’s help now and for a long time to come. We don’t want money, we don’t want riots, and we don’t want demonstrations. We want lawful action to tell people that I$rael is wrong in what they are doing and must be held accountable for what they are doing and most importantly I$rael must be prevented from continuing the murder of innocent people, the ethnic cleansing, and torture.

Who Is Afraid Of Islam

Islam bashing is nothing new. It's been going on for centuries. Crusaders murdered Muslims by the thousands without remorse, without as much much as second thought. All that at the behest of a Pope. Imagine that. Religious man telling his forces to kill indiscriminately. Women, Children, men, boys, and girls. The orders were precise: kill them until there are no more left. Fast forward to today and the crusades continue. Now in the the name of democracy or security or any lofty purpose dujour. So who is really afraid of Islam and why?

Of course the media would have you believe that Islam is anti west and all that malarkey. The reality is Islam as a religion and in itself is neither a threat to the west nor a threat to security of any one person or nation. Contrary to what the media and the right wing would have you believe, while liberals joining the chorus of hate speech from time, Islam does not teach violence nor it tells any one to convert against their will. Each and every Muslim knows today without a moment of hesitation that a person converting against their will is contrary to the essence of Islam, against the very core of the Islamic belief. And despite the negative press and all the misinformation the conversions keep coming. People still convert to Islam of their free will. There have been Clerics that have turned people away and told them that this is not a step to be taken lightly and one must think about it very carefully. They have in fact told people to go away and think about it more for week or two and then if they still think this is the right thing to do for them to come back again to embrace Islam.

Of course there are people that go away from Islam too. Its mostly because they are caught up in the moment. They are caught up with the glitter and the music, and pursuit of something different, something that is prevalent in the media and what surrounds them. They are taken in by the music and other frivolity. They are taken in by the promise of new found friendship and the easy life that awaits them without the media hatred of what is an essential part of one's life.
When people on their own really look at what Islam represent and what it stands for, when they do independent research, they invariably come to the same conclusion: Islam is the right religion and the only religion to be followed. It's a way of life that is most fulfilling and one that coincides with nature the most. If one really reads up on Islam they can find, time and again, that it's nothing even close to the menace its portrayed as by the media and the right wing bigots. That is where the problem lies. That is what really compels people, both Jews and Christians, to become hateful of Islam. Its what they don't have in their own religion is what makes them hate Islam. What you see in the media is over hyped bigotry because how else they are going to make people stay away from this religion.

For an ordinary person born in either Jewish or Christian household the message has to get through somehow to compel them to explore beyond what they currently have. To look beyond their daily routine. Beyond what Church teaches and what it hides. However, based on the media's portrayal of Islam, as wrong as that is, how would anybody want to reach beyond what they know to find the truth. These people must continue to tell lies, must continue to mislead, must continue to distort the facts, exaggerate the threat, twist the truth in order to continue to keep people away from exploring Islam.

Unfortunately there are not enough people with sufficient knowledge to spread the truth about Islam. So all we have is what the current media wants you to know. As long as the media stays in the grips of the few this hatred and fear mongering will continue.

Stupid French

France wants to ban Muslim women from wearing veil, the hijab or whatever it is that they call it. This is one of the most misguided policies that have come about and matches pretty closely to the hateful law the Swiss passed few days ago about the minarets.

Wearing of Hijab has nothing to do with the society. It has only to do with one thing: we hate you and we dislike you and that is what we want to promote; hatred, animosity, and bigotry.

Starting with the current French president, the whole country is full of bigots and people that think that preventing women from wearing hijab will somehow make people tolerant of each other. On the contrary, it will increase the animosity and those who can not see it is because they just don't want to see it.

Outside France, its yet another black eye for France and its people that had barely recovered from the Iraq fiasco. However this time its much easier to sweep this issue under the rug. Now if some loony guy decides to target the subway or some public place to blow himself up along with many others then French have nobody else but themselves to blame.

Is Haiti "Cursed"

Here it is. Earlier in the day the Top 10 post said we want to see Rush and Pat Robertson gone from the news. Obviously this has had a huge impact and their ratings tanked (or so we think). So they had to do something real quick to reverse the affect of this posting and the subsequent rating plunge. They had to be back in the news. This is what they came up with:

Pat Robertson said Haiti is "cursed."
Rush lambasted Obama for doing the right thing: seeming to care and encourage people to help out.

These two people and others of their ilk are so into themselves that they can not forgo any opportunity, even a catastrophe of this magnitude, to promote their own hideous agendas. Why would they think otherwise. Based on the high perch they are sitting on they think no harm can come to them. They are thinking they are Gods. One hates Obama and the other hates the entire human race altogether. Then they add a little something to make sure they can back track and weasel their way out of the hateful comments they make.

Here is what they said verbatim:

While Mr. loudmouth was speaking on his radio show Wednesday, Limbaugh said the earthquake has played into Obama's hands, allowing the president to look "compassionate" and "humanitarian" while at the same time bolstering his standing in both the "light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country."

He also added this for extra measure: "We've already donated to Haiti. It's called the U.S. income tax." I wonder if he thinks the same when he unabashedly supports giving billions to I$rael.

This is of note and maybe start of something big. While Limbaugh received some support from his own ilk, nobody of note has stepped up to defend Robertson's claim that Haiti got hit by an earthquake because it is "cursed."

This is what he said during one of the airings of his (cursed) program "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network, Robertson said that when Haiti was still a French colony it's leaders "swore a pact to the devil" to get out from "under the heel of the French."

"They said, 'we will serve you if you will get us free from the French.' True story. And so, the devil said, 'OK, it's a deal,'. But ever since they have been cursed by one thing after the other." Then he continued. "That island of Hispaniola is one island. It is cut down the middle on the one side is Haiti the other is the Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic is prosperous, healthy, full of resorts, etc. Haiti is in desperate poverty."

Word on the street is that the French are seething with rage but can't do a thing about it. Probably because Sarkozy is "Con de class mondial" which is, for you non-French speakers means "world class idiot."

It's a matter of great surprise that both of these people remain in the media because they have huge number of followers. But the only reason they have these followers is perhaps because racism and bigotry is still alive and very well in the US.

It's not OK to say "Nappy Head H**" referring to a sports team and if you do you get humiliated, bumped off the network, and run out of town while Rush and Pat can get away with murder and nobody says a word.

Bank Fees To Cover TARP Losses

The headline says the "administration to announce bank fees to cover billions in TARP losses. What a great idea! Brilliant! Or is it.

This is attributed to Obama but in this administration everything is. The good, the bad, and especially the really ugly, all comes directly from Obama. It's as if rest of the administration is living in a vacuum, or maybe they are all on vacation living at a resort. Yes, its very controlled, very insidious.

Well, how soon it will be before these fees are moved over to ordinary account holders? Not the fat cats, min you. Only to ones that have their paychecks coming to the bank. Only the poor people that are told by the company that without an account you can not get paid. Of course they have very little option, the bank does. What with soaring fees and expenses. Yes, and it's only couple of dollars (a week) is how it will be presented, and viola! TARP money recovered. The fat cat bankers will have their even fatter paychecks for coming up with the brilliant scheme. Quintessential Americana.

A wonderful must read book for anybody trying to discover religion, have doubts about where you are going with your religion, or if you just want a great read on this subject. The book is well written and its easy to read.

Karen Armstrong makes you feel good about yourself. Maybe because you feel so much for the author because just when she thinks all is going good, things change on her 180 degrees and a new adventure begins.

She wants to find God and in the process goes around the world looking. Can you really find God when you are looking for Him so hard. Remember the honky-tonk song, Looking for Love (in all the wrong places)? Karen is looking for God in all the wrong places but what an adventure it is that she has gone through and would I not change places with her?

It made me think about my own religious life. It made it stronger in my religious beliefs and I now appreciate so much more of what I believe in and what I don't. I know I am on the right track and right place when it comes to religion. Read the book and find out more about your own religious experience.

Poor Tiger Woods

Imagine all the fame, money and notoriety. What is going to stop you from doing anything. The world is your oyster.

When you have money fame and notoriety, women come easy. Or so I think. I have never been any of those things. Add good looking (as much as I can tell being a man looking at another man)to that mix and you have what we know as Tiger Woods.

So woman are throwing themselves at this man. He travels, goes places, and maybe he is alone many times. What is it exactly that will prevent him from not taking up on some of these offers. Is it religion? I don't believe he has one. I think he is Buddhist. Is Buddhism a religion. I am not sure. I know its a way of life. Other religions prevent one from extra marital sex.

So really what else is there that will prevent you from engaging in sexual liaisons with somebody other than you wife.

None of this is really his fault at all but he is having to take the blame for it. In the process he is losing ton of money and the opportunity to be something great. What a tragedy.

People, get a life and let the man get on with his life. Let him play the best Golf. Let us enjoy the best Golf.

Somebody asked me this question and I was taken aback a little. He made a convincing argument and at the time it sounded good. More I thought about it more it sounded like and interesting topic to put to the world. Not enough provocative questions are being asked of our politicians and they are getting away with murder.
